Nest-Thermostat Battery: Recharging Cable????
I Purchased this Micro-USB Cable to (separately) Re-Charge my Nest-Thermostat Battery, because my Nest-Thermostat (during these Winter-months) Refuses Charging from/via my (1994)Furnace during this Heating Season (that-is since the end of September-October). In the meantime I'm Looking for a Furnace-Wiring Problem???? [My (self-installed)Nest-Thermostat worked fine for six-months (all-Summer-long) during the Cooling Season, with my (1980) (W)Heavy-Duty A/C; so I also don't have help from a Pro-ID]..... With this Heating Season, my NEST-Thermostat also Lost-WiFi Connection too-my Home-WiFi Network {perhaps since I'm Not a Pro-Subscriber @$10/per-month}???? Problems/Problems/Problems..... [I just (this-week): Ordered a Nest (C-Wire) Power-Connector, too see if this would help????] My Nest is Constantly Re-Booting itself, for a Lack of (Heating) Power.... This may also be why it cannot Reconnect to my WiFi Network???? HELP/HELP/HELP..... My House/Home is Getting Colder...... [I do have (2)Electrical Engineering Degrees....]

Great charger
This charging cable is better than the original I had. Anker makes great products overall. We've been using their charging cables and chargers for years and they have lasted. The charging cables last much longer than what came with my phone.

A solid cable, so far
This review is based on early impressions, so long term reliability is still an unknown at this time.I'm quite happy so far with this 6 foot Anker PowerLine+ cable. It's not perfect, but it's pretty close. I bought this to replace a basic Monoprice charging cable that I lent to a relative and got back with a busted micro USB connector. Although I was happy with my previous purchase, it obviously could not stand up to even light abuse at the hands of a non-tech person, so I got this in the hopes that if it gets lent out, it'll be a bit tougher. It certainly FEELS tough, with the thick braided outer casing and the beefy connector heads. The point where the cable meets the connectors seems solid and resistant to breakage by bending. And, to my surprise, it really does charge my Nvidia Shield tablet faster than the Monoprice did; I'd bought the MP brand based on the reviews claiming it was a beefy enough set of wires inside to handle high current charging. And I'm sure it was, but this seems to be a big step up in internal quality because the charging time for my tablet dropped from about 2 hour 55 minutes with an Anker IQ wall charger to just 2 hours flat, one third faster than before. That really shocked me (no pun intended). I've got a little utility monitoring things like charging times, so it'll be interesting to see if it deteriorates over time as the cable gets worn. But for now, this is the ultimate cable for me to charge my tablet as fast as safely can be done. One minor nit to pick, though. While I don't have a measuring tape handy to check, I'm not convinced this is really six feet in total length. The MP cable I had was also six feet, and reached from the wall charger to my preferred lounging position with enough slack to form a nice loop in my hand, and keep tension off the charging port while holding the device and watching streaming video or whatever. This one doesn't seem to reach quite as far, and I didn't have any slack at all in the cable when I plugged it up to charge in my usual seating position. So either a) the Monoprice was six feet and this isn't, or b) the Monoprice was actually a bit longer than six feet, or c) they're both six feet and this one is so stiff is can't unfurl its total length without a lot of resistance. It's something to consider if your cable is going to be used at or near its maximum listed length, I suppose. (My solution was to find an extension cord and plug the charger into that, giving me another six feet of wiggle room.)Back to the positives: This cable was packaged nicely and even came with a little "pouch" for transporting it, complete with velcro strap inside AND magnetic clasps on the outside. It's those little extra touches that really make Anker stand out as a budget "but better" brand.Overall, a solid (literally) cable for heavy duty charging work. While I have no idea whether it will outlast the previous cable I bought just a few months ago or not remains to be seen. But if initial impressions are true, it seems like it should last a long, long time with proper care and storage.

More ruggedly built than Amazon cables.
The cable appears to be more ruggedly built than usual, including Amazon cables. Firmly engaged with phones micro USB connector. Cable is thicker than similar cables. Phone charges more quickly than with any other cables that I've owned. All appearances of high quality.

They're decent
The quality control feels like it's gone downhill since the scamdenic. Pros is these cords are cheaper than store bought cords. Cons they literally make USB C pc cables now which means the days of direct injection is back and they have my attention because they can take MY ABUSE without putting my phone on the charger while using my phone.

Very good leads, but am I just unlucky?
These leads come beautifully packaged and feel high quality. They give a very good performance, fast charging rates for my phone and tablet are as near the top as you can possibly get. Full marks for technical performance. I purchased 3 PowerLine + and 2 PowerLine leads so as to have several charging points around the house. So far, I have had one PowerLine and one PowerLine + fail, a 40% failure rate. They just stop working despite the claims of ruggedness by the manufacturer. I have had them well within the 18 month warranty period and so there has been no problem getting them replaced. More full marks to Customer Service for their speedy and efficient response. I would recommend them highly but wonder what will happen if one of the replacements fails and the original 18 month warranty period is up? Watch this space..........

Faulty after 8 months. UPDATE: Replacement from Anker on the way.
I bought mine in April and loved it's design and functionality. Now for the past 3 days it is not charging my phone properly. The charging repeatedly stops and starts. Not impressed as I had high hopes for this product and have been very happy with previous Anker purchases.UPDATE: 04/01/2016Excellent customer service from Anker, as noted by other customers. Upgraded from 1 to 3 stars for the solid 8 month cable performance and excellent customer service.Contacted Anker via Amazon and received a reply in 2 days. They are sending a replacement and asked for the attached label serial number (I assume to log the item and investigate the batch). Be sure to LEAVE THE ATTACHED LABEL on the cable just in case!Thank you Anker. Fingers crossed for this replacement.

The most robust micro-USB cable I've come across
I purchased this micro-USB cable to power an external DAC (the one that came with the DAC was too short, and about as generic as cables come), and it does the job swimmingly. The braid is excellent, and connection secure (albeit it's stationary and won't be moved around with any frequency). Power delivery seems to be stable, although I don't have the equipment required to confirm this. The pouch is also a nice addition for those who might take this, or another cable on the go.If you're looking for a robust micro-USB cable (and who isn't given the reliability of the plug-type itself) this is a great option.

Anker the best, but not on this occasion. (Now The Best)
One thing I always do is use Anker for any charging cables and Power charger. purchased one of these in September and it has being going down hill ever since. Now it's not even charging.I recently purchased some new ones, similar but for taking away with us. I now use these with an adaptor.Very disappointed, and hope this is a one off. Paid a lot for something that lasted less than 9 months.Steve, one cheesed off customer.Just to mention after the review above, Anker have commented and are sending a replacement. I must mention that Anker are the only company I deal with for charging etc. This goes to show how professional they are with their quick response and action taken. Cannot fault them. One now very happy customer. Waiting for item but I have had no problems before.

I'm buying more to replace other charging cables.
I bought this as a replacement for my anker battery powerbank as the original had become damaged and wow this blows the original cable away, it charges my phone on fast charge now, the cable is so much more flexible and durable and the colour pops!.The length is ideal as sometimes if I am using my power bank it could be in the bottom of my back pack well no problem I don't have to rummage in my bag to find it the cable is there, visible and I have no worry of it being damaged, I could be across the room and want to watch something on my phone but its on charge no problem the cable is long enough to reach. 100% I will buy more cables so I have spare stock if I loose them because I know this will last longer than any of my others so far so good 4 months in of heavy use and no sign of fraying, damage or reduced output.
