QR 26" (ETRTO 559x19) MTB Mountain Bike REAR Wheel + 7 speed Freewheel (14-28t) + 160mm Disc Brake Rotor - Double Wall Rim - Sealed Bearings Hub

It's apparent from the title of this review that I didn't have high hopes for this 'Madspeed7' bicycle wheel. I saw some decent reviews on it, after I required a fully assembled unit quite quickly to get me to work, I bit the bullet and decided to order this to replace my failed rear wheel and cassette.Firstly it arrived way earlier than Amazon said it would, in fact a week earlier than expected, no complaints there at all.What I didn't quite dig was the packaging, it was just placed into a single skinned box with no padding, so a good throw from the courier in transit would have damaged it. Luckily it arrived in perfect condition. Take note here, improve your packing standards or others will not be so lucky.So then came the grand unpacking and checking of the product, which arrived fully assembled.The cassette (Shimano) already fitted and the disc brake rotor already fitted too. All I had to do was fit the rim tape which was easy enough.It handled my thick winter MTB tyre with ease, so then I moved onto fitting the wheel.Straight on, no issues, the QR spindle fits fine and makes it easy to remove the wheel for maintainance.I took note that everything was nicely greased up, bearings were lovely and smooth and the whole thing felt nice and robust.Had a short and long test ride so far, very smooth, very impressive. No issues on test rides.I will update accordingly in a few months after i've really hit the road going to work and back.
