EZCast Ultra True 4K Wireless Display Adapter for TV, monitor and projector, substitution for Microsoft 4K Wireless Adapter, HDR Streaming, Supports Miracast, Airplay, DLNA, 2.4GHz and 5.GHz

Bought it to use as a miracast device. Out the box, the firmware was 1.10278. Tried updating from the ezcast app, and that failed. Downloaded their "repair tool", and jumped through the hoops to get it updated to 1.7960.56 (quite a jump in version number!) Tried 2 windows 11 devices with intel wireless adapters. They both see the SSID from the ezcast, but when you try to connect, it fails. I also tried my pixel 8 pro for screencasting, and that didnt even list the ez cast as a device to cast to. Looked at the EZCast website, and all their support section does is list downloads, no contact with a support person. Looked at their forum, and it appears completely dead. Have wasted a lot of time on this, not very EZ at all, and its gone back.

Took a bit of working out to set up but once setup very easy to use. Picture quality and sound quality are good depending on the quality of the source. Well worth the money especially as due too it's small size it is easy to position without being prominent.

I bought this as I wanted to link my laptop to my tv for zoom meetings.Very easy to install although the hdmi cable is a little short it works very well and I am happy with my purchase

Bought this on the strength of reviews saying it is best value for features & quality. I spent 2 hours with the app and the 'quick start' guide but failed to get it working & sent it back.

Very bad device. Not connected. Long time taken to connect a phone. The video not playing normal speed but with breaking. The cables must to touch every time to connected.

Jag sökte en adapter som stödjer AirPlay då jag har en del IOS-enheter hemma. Jag har provat en del och den här funkar mycket bättre än andra. Den kostar lite mer men gör jobbet bra.Bildkvaliteten är bekräftad UHD, stödjer all mediaformat (lite strul med Netflix bara) och kopplar upp/ner sig enkelt. Den enda anledningen att den får 4/5 istället för 5/5 är att bilden blir hackig vid snabba rörelser under UHD, dvs vill man se sport behöver man dra ner bildkvaliteten lite. Uppdateringsfrekvensen är (30-60hz).OBS! Vill man inte ladda ner deras app så kan man hitta Router IP i telefonen som är kopplad till den (Settings -> wifi -> enhetens SSID -> wifi info -> Router ID. Den kan man kopiera och klistra in i valfri browser för att konfigurera. Manualen och deras hemsida hänvisar enbart till deras App (som man inte vill ladda ner om man läser deras policy).Annars en väldigt bra och stabil produkt.

Wenn man alle Schritte zur Installation in der Bedienungsleitung genau befolgt, funktioniert das Gerät super. Ich habe mein Lenovo Tablet und Google Pixel ohne Probleme über die App verbinden können. Es gibt verschiedene Funktionen. Man kann über den Browser der EZCast-App Streaming-Seiten aufrufen oder man nutzt die Mirror-Funktion. Dann wird alles gespiegelt und man kann YouTube oder Netflix direkt über die Smartphone-App aufrufen. Die Bildqualität ist sehr gut.

Al prezzo pagato l'oggetto non è soddisfacente. Presenta tutti i limiti dei collegamenti wireless, pro e contro, presenti anche in prodotti di fascia più economica. Ma quello che disturba è l'applicazione Android, obbligatoria da installare per la configurazione del prodotto. Un'app made in Cina, poco intuitiva, con bug, addirittura con pubblicità (che senso ha inserire la pubblicità? Ho pagato il prodotto, no?), installarla sul proprio smartphone dà un senso di disturbo e invadenza, dal momento che molti altri prodotti simili funzionano senza applicazioni da installare, seguendo semplicemente le istruzioni a video, una volta collegato alla presa HDMI. Ma la decisione di restituirlo è stata presa quando dopo 20 giorni il dispositivo ha perso la configurazione, obbligandomi a ri-lanciare l'app per la riconnessione. A questo punto mi pongo delle domande: se io non fossi stato presente in casa e qualcun'altro avesse voluto usare il dispositivo, come avrebbe fatto senza l'app? Chi mi garantisce che l'app verrà aggiornata anche nelle prossime versioni Android?

Disgusting qualityEven when it worked - constant lags at 1080, it was sometimes impossible to watch movies through the chromecast, friezes every few seconds. Sometimes without friezes, sometimes permanent friezes. Constant problems, the sound may disappear until the reboot, sometimes after playing one video on YouTube, it refuses to play the next one. Solved only by reboot. After a month of work, the device finally broke down. First, the sound completely disappeared (the reboot stopped helping), then the device stopped being via wifi. I can connect via bluetooth, reset to factory settings, update the firmware, configure the device, connect to my home network, but still, no client sees this device anymore. Useless waste of money.

Ich kann die negativen Rezensionen nachvollziehen und hätte bei der Installation auch fast aufgegeben und das Teil zurückgeschickt, aber es ging dann doch:1. Installation der EZCast-App2. Dongle an den HDMI-Port des TV und an ein mind. 2A starkes USB-Netzteil anschließen.3. Auf dem TV erscheint die Startseite mit Gerätenamen, QR-Code, Passwort.4. WLAN auf den Hotspot des Dongles einstellen & Mobile Daten am Handy ausschalten5. QR-Code in der App scannen6. Danach den Vorgang zum Geräte finden in der App abbrechen.7. Auf Verbinden in der App gehen8. Dann in den App-Einstellungen die eigenen WLAN-Einstellungen (SSID und WLAN-Passwort) eingeben.9. Fertig (danach ggf. neuen Namen vergeben, Updates, weitere Einstellungen des Dongles in der App vornehmen).Der Dongle wird von allen meinen Endgeräten, die sich im selben WLAN befinden erkannt und es kann mit den OS-eigenen Mitteln präsentiert werden (iOS 15, iPadOS 15 (Bildschirmsynchronisierung), Windows 11, Windows 10 (Shortcut: Windows+K), Android 11(Bildschirm teilen)). Die EZCast-App wird auf den anderem Geräten nicht zum Bildschirm-Teilen benötigt.Fazit: Läuft gut mit den bekannten Einschränkungen bei einigen Apps (z.B. Netflix).Nachtrag und Einschränkung:1. Die Bildschirmspiegelung z.B. für Präsentationen ist komfortabel und problemlos wie oben geschrieben. Das ist mein Haupt-Anwendungsfall.2. Die Präsentation von Videos hat wiederkehrende, sehr kurze Aussetzer. Streaming-Inhalte so auf den TV zu bringen ist daher nicht toll, auch nicht mit 5 GHz-WLAN und Top-Empfang.Dennoch: Für den Preis ist das Gerät mit der nativen Kompatibilität zu so ziemlicher jeder Computer-Hardware in Ordnung. Windows Display Adapter oder AppleTV sind mindestens genauso teuer und decken nur ihr jeweiliges Ökosystem ab.
