Looks and sounds and functions well!
To anyone on the fence as I was about this product - I say go for it. It looks nice. It DOES help with sound - noise floor lowered - music emerges from an even quieter background - also bass is improved and tighter. And, with winter coming, it is a static eliminator. Most of all - with those three advantages - it’s making me want to use my turntable even more. I have a Pro-Ject Debut Carbon Evo - upgraded the Sumiko Rainer stylus to a Moonstone - and the performance is quite nice. I also bought the Spin Clean record washer and am very much enjoying listening to records again! Grew up on them in the 70’s. Vinyl helps connect you to the music - a wonderful way to listen if u have the right set up! This product isn’t cheap - but I’m happy with it and have no regrets!

Worked for me - a good option for metal platters
I got myself a new Pro-Ject Classic EVO, a TT with a heavy aluminum platter, and found that the bass and midrange were just muddy as all get out out of the box, making my expensive new toy sound like a much cheaper and uglier piece of equipment. I considered a cork mat, but I have had these in the past and don’t like the flakiness or residual static issues. So I went with leather this time, and found a massive improvement over the stock felt mat - the bass tightened up substantially and the mud is gone.Whether you notice any difference at all is going to depend on your setup; you likely don’t need this if you have an acrylic platter or something else that manages resonances well. If you do decide to take a shot at leather, this one does feel well-made, and mine is well-cut and even in thickness

It’s a leather mat
-definitely reduced static remarkably no record sticking to the mat when you change sides-looks badass-appears to be quality leather-priceyI don’t think this improves the sound your deck. Static is non existent so it definitely 👍 works for me. I’m usually pretty skeptical about “snake oil” but this hasn’t stuck to a record yet. Note that this is a 2mm mat, if you’re normal mat is 2.5mm which is common you’ll change your VTA. The cartridge you’re using maybe sensitive to this. Ortofon 2m appears to be fine with the difference

Pricey but worth it
SO much better than the felt mat that was included with my Debut Pro. Pricey, but worth every penny. No static, no dust. I'm not sure if the sound is much different, but I can tell you I do NOT miss the static pops that I had with the dumb felt mat. This is the same thickness, so you won't have to adjust the VTA. Just throw the old one away.

Static issues solved!
I have a Fluance Turntable and an Acrylic platter and I bought this to cushion the platter. Static was a problem with also but greatly reduced now.Sound-wise I'm pleased also, with the reduced static there are fewer pops and crackles overall. In listening, I don't hear muddiness and good separation overall.I've tried Felt, and Cork also and in comparison IMO the Leather is the way to go.No issues with cut or flatness, thin but effective.

Super nice quality - Great for Static Electricity
Got one of these for my Technics SL-1210GR as the stock mat smells like a tire. I had to add an additional thin mat underneath as this one is slightly thinner, but it is working well. I forgot how good these were with reducing static. It looks super classy compared to the stock mat as well.

Works Perfectly
Does exactly what its meant to do; completely eliminates static on a metal plate and reduces clicks and pop by a lot. Music sounds a lot richer too!

Not quite perfect
The product is supposed to be a turntable mat, however whomever produced it failed to cut it in a perfect circle. Very disappointed for a 69.00 product.

Couvre plateau cuir

Noticable difference
More base, quieter background and a lot less dust compared to the felt mat I had before.
