Well made, and works very well.

Exactly as Specified
Works precisely as you want it to, mine cuts off malfunctioning dishwasher motor than keeps draining after cycle is over, by interrupting circuit AC feed.

Single outlet wall socket with a built-in switch
For that electrical item, like a Christmas light string that has no on/off mode so that you are constantly needing to plug in or unplug, this allows power ups and downs with a built-in rocker switch. It Works!

Useful to have - a THREE prong outlet/switch that has the switch on the side so they can be "stacked".
Have seen many 2-prong plugs roaming about and have been using those to control multiple devices to "save energy" or protect from Scary-But-Topical overcharging of devices and Thermal Runaway. Recently for multiple devices I ditched the 2-prong switch/outlets and purchased the triplite 7 outlet (6 individual switch) power strip/surge protectors, but there are still situations where I need to control a single device in a limited space and 99% of the time that device is higher-end and thus needs a 3-prong grounded outlet.I don't have a private jet (yet) so I can't fly to the UN to lecture 3rd world nations on how to live their lives, only to be back in Monaco that evening for a night of dancing and partying. (or hosting campaign rallies in Hollywood..."do as I say, not as I do...") Still, I try to save energy where I can. Had an electrician wire a switch to an outlet in the bathroom to control the "charging" of the annoying powered toothbrush devices. There is an "air scrubber" in the AC closet which isn't always in use, so had an electrician replace the standard dual outlet with a single outlet/toggle switch. The Leviton 1470 is a MUCH cheaper way to go. Not sure if it is powerful enough to handle the air scrubber as it says "Works with 'most' household devices" but installing one or two of these in an outlet - when a low power device is involved - is much cheaper than hiring an electrician and/or replacing an outlet. You can't have everything, so if you should have a two-gang (four outlet) configuration, obviously you can't use four of these as the plug is "too wide", but for situations with a traditional vertical single gang (two outlet) configuration, this works perfectly. If your outlets are "sideways" with the grounding hole "to the left", then the switch will be "on the bottom" so things might be tight if the outlet is close to tile/backsplash or something similar. Unfortunately these only come in "white and ivory" so color option are limited.I have an older-model mini-PC that unfortunately supplies enough standby power to spin the external USB fans even when "off". Hooked it up to a Leviton 1470, and is just a simple toggling a switch to keep the system "off" when I want it to actually be "off".If I have the willpower, need to pair this with the Kill-a-Watt to see how much "standby power" the TV is using. Turning "off" the TV will lose the clock, but every little bit helps. If ten million people use this device regularly for a year, might equal the energy used by a single environmentalist flying in to accept a "save the planet" award. (or just make the environmentalists fly coach...but that would take an Act of God) :)

Works great!
Solved the problem of a device (an electric hot water kettle) that came without an on/off switch. A lot easier than pulling and plugging in the cord to an outlet!

Perfect for Coffee Maker
Just got this for a coffee maker that only goes on standby vs. off. Easy to use immediately. Exactly what I needed from a trusted brand.

Great alternative to the Belkin
I’ve used the Belkin Ones for years have at least 15 of them but now seem to be not available anymore in my region.Got this one to test and it’s great, works well and is a bit smaller than the Belkin. Do miss the Belkin green led that informed you from a distance your appliance is still powered on.But this model is well made. It’s a switch so don’t think it goes to break anytime soon and it’s a lot cheaper than the belkin was for me.Recommend

Useful if you want your battery to work longer
This item is very useful, if you work on your laptop all the day long. It's very harmful for the battery to work all the time. This device allows you conveniently switch it on and off when you need to do it.

It Does 2 Things Well
The 2 things it does well are "on" and "off", which are also the only things it does. I bought a pair to be able to turn off occasionally-used TV surround speakers without having to unplug them. The Leviton unit is small enough to only cover one plug-in in a standard 2 plug-in wall outlet, and two Leviton units will fit one under the other in a 2 plug-in wall outlet, if you wanted to use them that way.

Does exactly what it says, quality product with a good price
Does exactly what it says. And it's a quality product with a good price.I use this to help prevent excess wear on the wall sockets for frequently used areas. This way I can leave it plugged in if I want and ensure the power's cut to the kitchen appliance, or plug it out and back in without worrying about the wall socket.

It just works well.
It's got a good finish yet I'd like to see a led light on switch to if it's on or off. Besides that it works well
