Great tool for impulse control and exercise!
It's expensive for what it is, with a pole and some bungee cord and a little D.I.Y Imagination you could certainly make something that works similar...HOWEVER, that aside, it IS a quality bit of dog training/excercise/fun equipment that I wouldn't be without. From personal experience please avoid the very cheap telescopic alternatives with medium to larger dogs as one hard tug and they come apart as they're elastic bungee, it's like an elastic band snapping back in the dogs face at high velocity with a rod attached! this happened to us luckily missing my GSDs eyes and just skimming her ear. It could have been very nasty. Buy cheap and pay in other ways.So just be aware. I'm sure the cheap telescopic ones are great for smaller dogs like a Bichon or smaller...So, having had a near disaster with the cheap one, I bought this beauty and its safer, sturdier and will last for a long time and with replacement lures available either via Squishy face or quality 3rd party sellers it's it's tool/toy that keeps on going and going. These are not to play tug with, the odd tug as the dog grabs is fine, they're designed to be able to exercise a dog in a smaller garden my garden is approx 20 x25ft and I have a GSD just for guidance. If using with younger dogs 6 months plus (any younger and you are asking for an expensive vet trip), keep the lure low to the ground and make it easy. The pups are still growing and injuries can happen very easily with a flirt pole if the games are too high energy. Who wants to pay for a cruciate ligament injury when it can be avoided by just waiting till your dog us fully mature physically?Great tool for teaching impulse control in dog training, great tool all round.I would recommend 😃

Fabulous dog toy
The dog normally has the attention span of a gnat but this toy keeps him entertained for ages. It's robust and easy to use even with a physical disability

Sturdy and well-made
Got to say I was hesitant to buy this as it's really quite pricey for what it is. I thought about how easy it would be to make a flirt pole out of some pvc pipe and bungy cord (if only I had more time...) but after a lot of pointless agonising about it I went ahead anyway.However... it's great! I'm so pleased with it. It's so sturdy and well-made, so I have no concerns that this will break anytime soon. Works really well and the dog loves it. Our dog is a whippet, so not exactly a heavy weight in the dog world, but the way it's made I have no doubt it would be an appropriate toy for a much larger and stronger breed too, and that it could withstand a lot more tugging and pulling without sustaining damage.

My dogs favourite toy
This is a amazing flirt pole my dog loves it and gets annoyed when we don’t bring it for walks sometimes! She is very strong and it’s not broken from her very boisterous play and it’s used almost every day.She enjoys it that much that all attention is on the flirtpole and she pays no attention to otheroff lead dogs in close proximity. Highly recommend this if your dog has high pray drive and needs lots of exercise. This will wear them out in 10/15 mins.It is a little pricey imo and their is shipping cost as-well ontop. But so far is lasted with no sign of breaking for 2months+ so it has been worth it.

Good - quite big though!
Bought to teach some impulse control to an unruly monster - works brilliantly for that. I know they do a smaller version, but I thought that was for limited space. I find this one a bit large - pole is pretty long and string is long so can be hard to manoeuvre. But feels quality and does what it says on the tin.

Fun!
This toy is brilliant! I have 4 dogs, my heaviest is 32k; I was worried it wouldn’t last one round, but they’ve all had a go and the toy (that really doesn’t look durable) is intact. Do not make the mistake I made, got so excited and wanted to try it the moment it arrived, and let me tell you, the living room is NOT the place to use this 😂

Well built flirt pole for tiring out puppies
We got this for our Border Terrier puppy to try and tire him out a bit and since he is a bit of a maniac for chasing we figured this would be up his alley. He loves it, we leave it by the door and often he will come in after any trip to the garden and try and drag it out for some fun...at all hours.Bit expensive for a lure on a pole but it is very sturdy and about as good as you'll get pre-made.

It's expensive for what it is
I would class it more of a £15 00 product, there is nothing wrong with it as it works but it's simply a plastic pipe with a handle and a toy strapped to it

Good but...
My female GSD likes it, it does the job and tires her out.The bungee cord definitely has a stretch to it and it’s durable, so is the pole itself, I am very careful not to allow her to tug on it in case it does slip from her mouth it could easily retract back and hit me or her very hard, causing injury. It is called a flirt pole, the object of this toy is to let her chase and run to tire her out not to use it as a tug toy. In case she does get a hold of the tassels and tries to tug on it I quickly hold it from the knot of the toy as to not allow the cord to stretch. The reason behind the 4 starts is the tassels, I wish it was more like a light weight plush sort of toy animal like a fox or squirrel instead of tassel to keep her interested more, since she has a very strong prey drive. The 2nd reason is because the squeaky toy inside the tassel didn’t last long in her mouth. The plastic broke quick and it no longer squeaks.

I wish I would've done my research first
Not worth the money. The pole is PVC, I would've preferred something strong and lighter, like aluminum. When my dog catches the toy on the PVC bends like it's going to break. I bought this because it was recommended by a friend, but after looking over other options I realize there are better ones that are cheaper.

Durable. Worth the money.
Super durable... Very stretchy. My vizsla puppy has used it every day for almost a year and it's still in tact. None of her other toys have lasted that long. None. And... She loves it!!

Great for energetic dogs.
Who is mentioning thickness in these reviews? Like what? Anyway, this is great if you have an overactive dog like I do. It keeps them off of you, engaged, and it helps train a release command. Holds up pretty well even with 30lbs of hyper puppy hanging off of it. Disclaimer: don't fling your puppy through spacetime using this product.

Great for Exercising an Excited Puppy!
The only thing id suggest to change on the product is that the cord be less or not at all stretchy b/c its easy for the toy to snap back and pop someone if the puppy pulls hard and lets go.
