Alex Evenings Women's Short Embroidered Elongated Mock Jacket Dress

This is a gorgeous dress. I bought to wear at my son's wedding. It fits beautifully and the quality is A+!Unfortunately I failed to read the description accurately (my fault entirely), and totally missed the part where it stated that it was a one piece ensemble. (I thought it was a dress and jacket. I was wondering why it didn't show any pictures of the dress without the jacket!) Sadly for me, I knew it would be too warm for an outside wedding in July in Massachusetts! The color that I ordered (think it was called light purple it maybe lilac) was a beautiful shade (slightly on the smoky side). Priced nicely and of particularly fabulous quality.

This is not a two piece. It’s a one piece. I brought it for my grandmother who was attending a wedding. They way I styled the dress she was the talk of the wedding! Dress fit her nice and she looked gorgeous.

I purchased this for my mother-in-law and she looked gorgeous!! She has a rheumatic arthritis in her arm but it was easy to put on since it zipped up in the back. She loved it!

04/23: this dress is so elegant and more beautiful in person and on than in the picture. I’m 5’1” so I wish it had come in petite and the jacket overlay was a couple inches shorter. I ended up returning it due to choosing a long gown, but it was a tough choice between those two.

Would probably look good on a large woman.

Perfect fit and beautiful material. Would definitely recommend. Hard to find something in petite that looks right in my body type. Ok very happy with this purchase.

This is an absolutely beautiful dress. I plan on wearing for my son's wedding in November. Delivery was super fast, too! I ordered a size 18. My "stats" are: height 5'3", 170 lbs., bust 42, waist 35, and hips 45. The bust is just a little big and the straps on the dress will need to be shortened just a tad, so minor alternations are needed. Rarely do clothes fit me off the rack and alterations are usually needed no matter what. The fabric is light and breezy which will be good for the weather in Simi Valley, CA in November. The highs are usually in the 80's in November in Simi. I like that the fabric is not clingy and there is no stretch. It helps camouflage my love handles. The jacket fits perfect and will not need any alterations. The lace is soft and not scratchy. The length is perfect hitting slightly below the knee. I plan on wearing silver sandals and clear crystal and white pearl jewelry. The color is what I would say is a true "icy orchid". It will complement the plum color of the bridesmaid dresses and the men's gray tuxes.

Beautifully designed for a woman who wants a shift style dress for a fall wedding. Size 16 fits just right. The lace is lovely, just wish it was a bit softer. Might not bother anyone else. The plum color is rich and elegant. I wanted it for Mother of the Bride dress. However I will have to return it because its not comfortable enough to wear all day long for a wedding and reception. The lace feels rough. I had to find a different dress that was comfortable enough to wear for many hours from morning to night.

Bought this dress for my mother as a surprise for her 80th Birthday Bash! She is about 5'3" and 148 pounds (a little round). I got her a size 12 and it fit perfectly. It is simply elegant and well made. My mother absolutely loved it :)
