Kuda Outdoors Self Inflating Travel Pillow for Outdoors, Blue

This pillow is the first of this self-inflating type that I have owned. Have not had it out on an extended camping trip yet, but have napped on it at home. I'm 6'5" and 250. This pillow fits surprisingly well - it's of a decent size for a camping pillow. My perfect pillow would be just a little thicker -- 1/2" to 3/4" or so.I agree with some of the other reviewers, that at first this doesn't seem like it's going to inflate. It gets better after having been unrolled, inflated and deflated a few times. It is very simple to lay it out, open the valve, and let it sit while you do something else -- set up camp? --- come back in a bit and add a couple of small breaths of air to get it to your preferred firmness.One thing I would prefer to have -- a non-slip material on one side. In using this on a camp mattress, with a bivy cover or poncho liner, this slips around way too easily. I'll have to plan on using some sort of pillow cover to prevent that, or otherwise I know I'll be waking up several times to recover this thing after it slides off.

worked ok, brought it and a neck pillow on a 6 week trip to australia and new zealand with lots of car camping/hammock camping. used it the first week and then never again, didnt like the plastic feel of the outside. It did blow up to be a pretty decent size, the memory foam didnt really expand to fill the pillow at its fullest, you had to deflate it like 30-40% to feel any of the memory foam. my expectation was there would be more memory foam and it would be closer to a memory foam pillow than an inflatable pool toy.

This pillow is self-inflating, as advertised. You open the valve and it inflates by itself, in some apparent violation of the laws of physics. It is good-sized, with something of a depression in the middle to make it more comfortable for your head. Comes in a neat little bag, making it convenient to bring around.The problem comes when you try to deflate it. Being self-inflating, this pillow is rather resistant to being deflated. It takes a little bit more effort to slowly choke the life out of it, in a manner not unlike how you'd coerce an errant tube of toothpaste to surrender the last of its contents. Be prepared to put up a fight. Not for the faint hearted.

We camp about 1x/month with Boy Scouts. This pillow is just what everyone needed! The boys and adults truly liked the pillow. It was easy to fill (a little work to deflate, but not bad - was still able to get it back into its bag). It is very comfortable to sleep on! We now have 2!

Just used this pillow for the first time. It is the best camping pillow, short of the pillow off my bed, I have used. The size is perfect. I placed it under my sleeping bag. It moved around a little but not bad considering the head support, whether I was on my side or back. The packed size was a little bigger than I was expecting but it is still small.

Hard to complain, it's an outdoor pillow. It's not meant to be hotel comfortable, and it works well keeping your head off the ground. The hard material isn't very pleasant to sleep on, but when you half-deflate it and wrap it in something like a shirt or sweater, it's perfect.

Very compact which is a plus. And it's easy enough to fill up and use. However, it's noisier than I thought it would be and not very comfortable. Next time around, I'll probably spend the extra money and get something more comfortable.

This is the fourth inflatable pillow I have owned. I bought my first one over 40 years ago. I have been an outdoor sportsman my whole life, and I cannot even imagine a finer inflatable pillow. I would give this pillow ten stars if that were an option.
