Not extra wide by American standards....
I bought these chairs because they were on sale and they looked more comfortable than standard bleacher chairs. I bought the extra wide model because, well frankly, I'm not a small guy. I'm 6' 3" and 270. While the recline function operated as advertised and DID provide a pleasant sitting feel, trying to stand up left the seat;s armrests firmly attached to my hips and the chair got up with me. I was also a bit disappointed that there is no hook to secure the seat to the bleacher, as most other models have. The ability to recline a bit is nice, but NOT falling into the lap of the guy behind me would be a huge bonus.

Great idea poorly implemented. Not just uncomfortable, but painful.
I used the chairs for the first time at a 3 hour event. After about 1/2 an hour I felt pain from the seat. I examined and found the metal structure to be the problem. I'm writing this about 18 hours after the event and I still feel the pain. Imagine sitting on a chair, and put a 1/2 pipe under each leg extending back so that the pressure is on your backside. I did have a 2" memory foam pad with me as well. I had to use it to make the chair tolerable. After about an hour, I felt the same pain coming from my back - where the piping was digging into my lower shoulder blades. I will be tossing these immediately.Other information. I have a 34" waist which is probably about the reasonable limit on size for this chair. Also the armrests are too low to make any difference (even without the 2" extra padding)

These are NOT extra wide!!!!!
These are NOT extra wide! They are super narrow. The seller needs to change the description asap!!! If you want extra wide go with a different brand. Good quality seats but the description is very wrong on size!!! You can fold the arms down and you can find a video on YouTube. If you buy an extra large seat you should be getting an extra large seat! These are only a little over a foot wide, other brands that have extra wide in the description are over 2 feet wide. I sent them back since they lied about being extra wide. I will go with a different brand!

Almost perfect!
The seats are sturdy and comfortable. The fact that they fold out and can be carried like a backpack makes storing and taking,them,places very simple. If the seat/armrests were about 2 inches wider, id give this product 5 stars. Really happy with the purchase.

Convenient but not extra wide
The seats themselves are nice and portable. The straps make them easy for carrying and the fold-flat feature makes them easy for storage in the back of the car. My dislike is that they are not very wide. Even my teenage girls who are fairly small we're not entirely comfortable.

Description is deceptive...seat width is 14.5”
Production description states seat as 19.5” actual seat width is 14.5”. Check your seat width before buying.

Most comfortable stadium seat
WE both enjoy these seats very much. It would have been much easier if the seats had included instructions on how to flatten the arms by pushing them down very hard (I had to use a rubber hammer to accomplish this).

Good Deal
These are great chairs for the price. The only problem I had is the strap started to unravel right after the first use and before I could fix it it was all the way to the plastic adjuster so I will be unable to carry it like a backpack.
