My mom gave me this book as a gift before she passed. She wrote, "See yourself in Michelle." The hurdles that Michelle came across growing up really showed what a wonderful woman she is. What most people would call the ghetto, we simply called home. The passion she has for our community will never get enough respect. She was more than just a first lady. She is definitely a role model for our young women. Could not put this book down!! I cleaned with it, cooked with it, snuggled up under the blanket with it... beautiful book.
