Basically this is cheap to buy the shoroud is 6out of 10 particular the dust brushes there too big the disc it comes with isn’t a deep enough cup the shroud once on seats offset slightly creating uneven surface contact you can get round this with spacers the blue movable cover becomes annoying it opens with prompt and there’s two blue plastic tabs that get in the way if your disc isn’t spaced right it holds the dust in with a good vacuum think I’d research others first and avoid the combination kit think there’s better cupped discs my grinder was a makita l 9” 110 2000 watt don’t expect it to be easy to level smooth a floor but with effort you could get near to it

Using for grinding a thinset/concrete floor after ripping up tiles.Is very effective - probably 90+% dust collected.Seems well made and solid.Diamond disk seems good but bit early to judge.A more substantial wrench than supplied with my previous dust shroud however it is too large to fit the locking nut.The supplied collars are for use with smaller grinders, to fit my 9” grinder (draper) needed to wrap electrical tape around the collar of the grinder to the get the fit tight enough on stop it moving.This shroud was almost as expensive as my grinder, however this is the second surface shroud I have had and it is superior to the previous cheaper model.It has sprung dust brushes which should help as the disk wears lower, a second pressing plate may have been useful.The dust brushes seem to be far enough away from the disk so they don’t get cut off.The front ‘hatch’ has a bearing which seems to stop it from getting completely stuck with dust as did my old shroud.I would buy this one again if it got lost.

Great product super easy to install and use. Was incredibly effective at removing old tile glue before laying es laminate floor. The pull back guard is fantastic for getting right against walls/skirtings. Much better than my previous model.

Great product for sanding down latex on the floorI messed up my pouring of the latex and tried to sand it back with a regular electric sander, was there for hours on one bitI bought this and it worked a treat ended up sanding down the whole area in 30 minutesYou will need to attach to hoover or dust extractor as it really does kick up the dust, but as it has the shroud I didn’t get any dust all around the house
