I was immediately impressed as soon as I pulled my Amazon Essentials Puffer Jacket out of the box. It was nicely packaged in such a way that it was beautiful and smooth when it arrived. The Dark Toffee Brown color is gorgeous. The quality is excellent. The fabric is sleek and smooth, and repels liquids, dust, lint and pet hair. Clean, smooth stitching, I have not seen even one loose thread or puckered stitch, and the zippers work flawlessly.The Medium fits me perfectly - I am 5'2" and 120 pounds - enough room for layering underneath, yet still fits nicely without feeling baggy or frumpy. It is lightweight and easy to slip on, with a clean, simple design that has everything you need, and nothing you don't. Two hand pockets with zippers, and two deep inner pockets just inside, all within easy reach, and includes a lightweight stuff sack that I keep attached to the inside back hanging loop and can't even tell it's there.This jacket does triple duty: 1. Everyday outer jacket - It is water-resistant, has nicely placed zippered hand pockets, another two deep inside pockets, and looks and fits great with or without layers. The narrow sleeves make it convenient to wear when I am working around the house or doing anything else without getting in the way. They fit around the wrist without falling over my hands, yet with enough length to keep my wrists covered without riding up while extending my arms. I can still pull the sleeves over my hands as desired if I want to shield them from wind or cold when pockets or gloves aren't practical. 2. Liner jacket underneath an outer shell - The narrow tapered sleeves, smooth fabric and light weight make it perfect for layering another outer shell over it when the weather is extra cold or wet. During a recent unexpected cold front I was able to layer up with a tank top, long sleeve base layer, and long sleeve sweater underneath this puffer jacket, slipped a long heavy trench coat over the top, and added a scarf, wool hat and snow boots and I was able to keep warm in single digit temperatures. 3. It comes with a stuff sack and packs down small, taking up little space for backpacking or travel, keep one in your car or carry in your tote bag to have handy for changing weather anytime. I like it enough that I may get a couple more in different colors - one to keep in my van and one to keep in my bugout/emergency backpack - although I will likely be pulling them back out so I can wear the different colors LOL.Overall I am beyond happy with this jacket. I love this jacket and it has become my go-to favorite.

Okay…honest truth right here. After buying this jacket for my daughter for Christmas I felt bad for not just splurging for an actual North Face that she wanted, it was Christmas after all. I went ahead and got it and had both jackets. So, the day after Christmas I gave her this one to look at and told her she could choose (although I knew she would want to keep the NF). A little later she was going out with friends and had the Amazon jacket on. I asked if she was planning to keep it instead of the NF. She looked at me very confused and looked back at the jacket she had on. She thought she was wearing the North Face. Y’all, this jacket is SO similar to the name brand jacket it is very difficult to tell them apart. This is a very nice and well made jacket. I definitely recommend.I got the black one and her typical size which corresponded with her size with the brand name. The blacks are the exact same black and the “puffiness” is the exact same. She is 5’ 4” about 115 and an XS fit perfectly.

I've gained a few pounds so I needed a new coat and specifically wanted a lightweight, packable puffer coat. I took a chance on this one and I'm pleased so far.What I like:1. It's so comfy!2. It's lightweight.3. It's packable.4. Many colors to choose from.5. Seems to be sewn together fairly well. I've worn it about 6 times and it's still like new (as it should be).6. I like that the sleeve ends at the wrists are not elastic. You can see what they are like in one of my pictures.7. The arms aren't too long.8. Easy to zip and doesn't fit tight anywhere. I'm short and curvy and this coat does not fit narrowly in the hips like some coats and jackets do.What I don't like:I like everything about the coat so far.

Puffer jacket comes in thirty colors! Amazon Essentials "dark yellow" matches the picture exactly, but I can't say about the other colors.As with the corresponding vest, you can wear the collar zipped up to encase your neck ("popped" in preppy parlance} or unzipped a few inches to create a spread collar. The two pockets are real front seam pockets rather than on the side. Contents still may bulge out a bit, but at least you won't look wider. You can access pocket backs from the inside, too, as a convenient place to stash an item or two. Despite the description, this jacket doesn't remotely fit into the 6"x9" drawstring carrying pouch that arrived attached to the hanging loop at the back of the neck.Here in coastal southern California this is plenty warm for chilly evenings, but please check other reviews from various geographical locations for opinions about warmth in other climates.True to size. I'm 5' 2" and hover around 110 pounds; a size small lightly hugs my body with a couple of layers (long sleeved woven shirt and lightweight sweater) underneath. If you want to wear it over something chunky, you might want to size up one, but in that case all proportions will be larger. Also, consider that it has zero stretch, so that may be a factor in your size choice.

I was looking for a lightweight, easy to store jacket. It comes with a small bag/pouch to store it in. It fits great, is warm, and protects you from the wind. I took it to a theme park recently. I bundled it up and put it inside the little bag it comes with and placed it inside my backpack. It didn't take up much space at all. It was perfect. I usually keep the little bag in one of the inside pockets of the jacket. There's one inside pocket on each side and two outside pockets with zippers. I bought a large and I can wear a fluffy hoodie and layer this on top comfortably.

I took on board all the reviews, and thought I'd just go for it. I wanted a red one, but as it was out of stock (as were most of the colours :o() my second choice was the leopard print. I am usually an 18/20 and 5'5. After umming, and ahhhing I decided on the XL. It's smashing. As I have a fuller figure I didn't want anything that exposed my bottom and thighs. This does the trick ... just. Yes, the sleeves are a little on the long side, but I folded them in and it doesn't spoil the look. It is also shower proof and warm, but not too warm. It is not too puffy; I could wear it under my football coat if necessary, and it is quite nicely made too. Sometimes it's not a good thing to get too embroiled in checking every single review. Hope this helps.

I needed a jacket for walking that wasn’t cumbersome or heavy but would provide warmth and protection especially on windy days. It arrived on time so I took it away for a couple of days to Brighton where it passed its first test! The promenade was windy and I was very cosy! Have since ordered another colour for best! Very happy with the pockets - side outside ones with concealed zips, inside ones which are deep enough for maps, phone etc

Arrived vey quickly. I chose the animal print and am very pleased with it. The body is a slimish fit but in fairness the photos clearly show this. I purchased this jacket as something just to pop on quickly for the car but I can still wear a light sweater underneath. I was pleasantly surprised that this animal print is quite classy looking as in the past I've found some prints to look a little cheap. Some have said the sleeves were too long but I didn't find this to be so and I don't class myself as having long arms.

I usually get a 16 in winter jackets so I can wear a t-shirt and jumper underneath, and a large in this fits perfectly. The jacket is quite warm, keeps out the chills on early morning dog walks but it's not that thick so may not be warm enough if you're standing around. I've not worn it in prolonged heavy rain, but I got caught in a heavy shower and the water beaded on the material and the jacket kept me dry. There are 2 good sized zipped pockets on the outside, and 2 deep pockets inside. It does pack into the supplied stuff sac, but it's a tight squeeze and it took a couple of attempts. The zips seem to be good quality and the stitching is all finished nicely.My only negative comment is that the photos look like the jacket is royal blue, but it's actually navy. Still a lovely jacket though.

Lovely jacket for smart casual wear. Was worried that 18/20 might be too big as normal size would be -16/18 but it is a great fit and very happy with purchase.
