The purchase of this item was a no-brainer for this grandparent
The purchase of this item was a no-brainer for this grandparent. Three classic CTW learning disk in one package for a very reasonable price. I had viewed one of the disk "Shapes and Colors" with my 20 month old grandson as a library take out and was impressed. The packaging of this 3-disk set was professional and I feel confident they will be enjoyed by my grandchildren. In fact I recall seeing some of these individual episodes/skits in the 80's with my children. I still chuckle over the count and his infectious HA-HA-HA silly old me!

Learning by Leaps and Bounds!!
My 3 year old attends Montessori and was a little behind in her basics, especially counting. Granted, they work with her every day on her numbers, letters, shapes and colors but she LOVES this set. She went from barely being able to count to 5 or 6 to counting to 12 perfectly! Even her teacher is amazed! We're still perfecting the others but all are addressed on this 3-DVD set by Sesame Street characters. They even use old clips of the show from the 70s! Hey - it worked for me! :) This is a great set to get your toddlers started or help them master the basics.

Its a really good set for a kid to learn we have always been a favorite of Sesame Street. but rapping w/ Elmo shows to much of ghetto , they should show the successful black people who don't talk or act or rap like that . Expose the Ghetto community outside w/ broaden their culture around them would be a plus .

The Count and Company are at their best!
I bought this for my granddaughter. She is both amused and engaged while watching them. I recommend them to anyone who is looking to stimulate a child's learning opportunities and prefers to shun mindless noise that sometimes passes itself off as early childhood learning. Thanks Big Bird.

Love the numbers program.
My almost 2 year old enjoys this set! The ABC one is so boring but the numbers program is great! Very active and happy songs! My son dances around to it and giggles at The Count :) I actually don't mind it ether.. I find my self singing the soccer socks song often haha! Its very catchy tune

My children watch this all the time. They love elmo and my 16 month old can now count to ten. Seasame street has such a wonderful message. It's great to watch the same programs with my kids that I watched when I was their age.

It's okay
I bought this for my 1 year old to watch. The disc about ABC's is boring and I probably won't play it again. It was disappointing because I bought the dvd for the ABC's hoping it would help my son learn them but the disc had 2 actors dressed as letters A and Z then they interviewed people in a mall... boring and 0 learning value.Anyways, the other two discs were not bad and my son will occasionally watch them while he's playing. I will warn you that the dvd cover is a bit misleading.. I assumed the dvds contained newer episodes, they do not. The episodes are all older and contain older looking animation. In all, for the price and 2 out of the 3 dvds my son will watch, I think it's a decent buy.

Excellent DVDs for successfully teaching toddlers basic concepts
This video series is amazing. My daughter loves them and asks for them all the time. I'm a teacher, and I'm at home full time with my child and I honestly couldn't have taught her the alphabet and numbers better than these videos have done. So much reinforcement through repetition, fun songs and stories. She loves to sing the alphabet and count out loud. The shapes and colours video is good too, although she has probably learned her shapes and colours a little better through other games and toys that we have, but she still loves the shapes and colours DVD. However, I give full credit to these DVDs for her mastery of the alphabet and counting. One buyer indicated not being happy about some of the clips being old (probably just in the Numbers video) but I think that gives it a lot of character and variety for the children. My daughter was afraid of all the scenes with the Count for awhile for that reason (the dark and scary music that came on during the Count clips), but she's over that now and wants him to come to her 3rd birthday party! I could not recommend these videos more enthusiastically.

Just Perfect.
3 DVD's that are entertaining for everyone. Sesame Street has really created a great package here. You get New Sesame Street and Old School Sesame street in these DVD's to help explain, Numbers. Two very funny comedians to talk about the alphabet and a very clever way to teach children about shapes. Super fun to watch.

We love Sesame Street in our house. ABC one is great. Counting one is okay. We thought it would be more count songs.
