Kids loved it!
Cute idea for a toy. My 6 year old couldn’t stop playing with it. Lots of laughing and googling anytime the flamingo pooped! Great value! Could keep your kid busy for hours!

Don't get it
I got this toy for my daughter for her birthday. It stopped working within 8 minutes. Stopped pooping, started making this god awful clicking noise. I requested a refund the day she opened it.

Good gag gift, maybe a little mature for the labeled age - kids 4 and up?
We bought this as a family gag gift after the year of COVID, just a joke to make us all laugh at Christmas. Our 14-year-old son hates it and does not think it is funny at all. Maybe we could have anticipated that, but in a way it makes it even funnier.Initially, we were a little disappointed by the eating and pooping - ours doesn't eat very much or very fast, and it only poops a tiny amount at a time. We haven't been able to get it to perform like the pictures on the packaging which appear to show more poop, and poop sinking to the bottom of the toilet. Instead, the poop floats on the top of the water. It actually works better (and is less messy) without water in the toilet. That way you don't have to strain the food out of the water to feed the flamingo again. However, as it turns out we don't really care about the eating and pooping. The noises it makes are hilarious, and the "repeat what you say" feature is much better than you would expect. We didn't know about that feature so it was a nice surprise. My husband has installed it in his bathroom; he turns it on and talks to it whenever he visits the bathroom. It is a funny novelty item to him!It does remind us of a potty-training aid, though. You eat and then eventually you need to use the bathroom, and the "uh oh, gotta go" makes us think of a toddler who realizes they need to go and have to get there in time. It could help a toddler identify with the process, especially since the flamingo comes with a little toilet with a removable seat, sort of like a potty training toilet. But the noises are kind of inappropriate for a young child - grunting as the flamingo poops, and then hearing the poop fall into the toilet? They are funny to us, but we didn't really do potty humor with our son until he was a teenager. These are my thoughts - depending on your family you may use it differently. One reason we bought it is that we have a young friend who loves toilet-related things. We will show it to him when the novelty wears off, and we will probably give it to him if he likes it.

Hilarious bird😂🤣
This toy is AWESOME! Everyone loved it, even the adults! This bird is hilarious! Only problem with it is that the neck is fragile. I gave this to my granddaughter for her 7th bday and that same day her 3 year old brother accidentally knocked it off the counter and broke his neck. So we had it replaced and haven't had any problems. However, we have to be extra careful and supervise when she plays with it. But despite that I really do love this toy!!

Completely stops working sometimes but my daughter's favorite toy when it works
This toy is super cute when it actually works. The other reviews are totally accurate; the sand gets all clogged up inside her neck and it completely stops working. For some reason the stuck sand started pouring out the back of her head so we shook it all out and it started working again but we're basically out of sand now. My daughter still LOVES this thing but there's no way she could play with it without constant adult supervision. You get a packet of sand about the size of a matchbook and without it, it's completely useless. My other comment is that it doesn't work all the time. It worked and then for several hours it didn't do anything. We changed the batteries twice, turned it on and off, etc., and started a return on Amazon but then it started working again? It still stops working periodically so idk if ours is defective or not but based on these other reviews, I think it's just not a super well made toy.

Amazing!
Ok, so this is the second one we've purchased. I bought it for my 4 year old niece for Christmas. Both she and her little 1 year old sister played with it so much that they broke it a week ago (drowned the poor thing). So, the precious little peanut FaceTimed me to ask if I could buy her another one. Of course I said yes because I'm a sucker. (I did ask her if she had enough money to pay for a third one because I was done after 2.) Since it stays at my parents' who watch them 3 times a week, my parents are the ones who give me updates. My dad said they already played with the new one that came for most of the day when they watched them on Thursday. Money well spent in my opinion...but my dad may or may not be sick of the copy cat part of this flamingo. That sounds like a him problem though.

My kid really likes it
Got this as a gift for my kid, she’s 6, wasn’t sure about a pooping flamingo but the kid was ecstatic over it. I was worried about having to clean up a mess but the sand you use to feed the flamingo seems to be water resistant. You empty the sand in the little scooper and it drains off all the water and it’s dry in seconds, ready to use again. It sings when and wiggles when It has to go potty and copies what the kid says. Pretty cute and the price was good. Seems to be pretty well made so far.
