I bought this because I don't have a real xmas tree, and I wanted something that looked better on the table than Yankee. This is PERFECT. Not only does it look fantastic, but the smell...it really does smell like xmas! I was worried it would be too perfumed, or a bit like a car air freshener, but this is lovely and subtle. It smells like the pine woods, the wooden wick and has such a nice natural burn to it. I am so happy I took a chance on a company I have never heard of before, but the overwhelming positive reviews convinced me. I will definitely have a look at the other smells by Jolie.

These candles are amazing. I suffer with asthma and copd and normal paraffin candles make me wheeze. I decided to try La Jolie Muse as they are natural ingredients plus the added bonus of longer burn time.I am delighted with this and will continue to buy from now on. As soon as I tool the candle out of the box I could smell the wonderful scent. The candle was packaged so carefully and safely. I was thrilled with how pretty it looks, but most of all, no more coughing for me. Lit it for 4 hours and didn't cough once. The scent filled the room beautifully. My husband mentioned it as soon as he walked in the room.I'm so pleased to have found a brand that is not only beautiful to look at and smells great, but it burns longer and is kind to my chest.

This item arrived safe and well packaged.This is a very high quality, extra large candle. This has taken pride of place on my window-ledge as it looks so good in the green glass container.The candle burns very well, and very clean. The scent is amazing! I have the sandalwood fragrance and I'm very pleased I choose this one. I really like the little wooden looking wick. It burns very effectively.I highly recommend this item.

I am afraid to say this was yet another disappointing scented candle,and i use the word scented lightly.Firstly the good things about the candle was it looked beautiful,the glass is stunning,and it looks lovely when lit.However i am afraid that is the only good thing about this candle,firstly it tunneled really badly,and i tried everything to correct it,i have been burning candles for many years,so i do know what i am doing,but nothing helped.Next was the actual fragrance,i have never smelt amber or sandalwood that smells like this before,it smelt more like a citrus type fragrance,quite fresh and bright,amber and sandalwood should create a very warm cosy type of smell,very bizarre to me.Lastly concerning the fragrance again none of it really mattered anyway as the candle had ZERO THROW,so disappointing,as this was not a cheap candle,fairly expensive in my opinion.It smells very strong when you first open it and take it out the box,i thought it was going to have a great throw,i couldn't have been more wrong,there simply is no smell to it when it is burning unless you put your nose right in the candle.I have had many different candle brands over the years,and hardly any of them actually have a decent scent throw,the only ones that smell at all is bath and body works,some woodwick,and parks candles are fairly decent.Every time i see a new candle that looks so beautiful as this i hope it will give me the throw i have been looking for and actually perform how a scented candle should,but they never do,and they are so expensive,such a waste of money!Based on all the facts i can not recommend this candle,unless you are not bothered about it actually smelling,if you just want something pretty to look at,then go for it,but i kind of like my scented candles to actually be scented!!!Yet another waste of money,the search continues,maybe time to give up i think!!!

I wanted so much to like this, and after reading reviews I thought I'd give this candle a try. It arrived well wrapped but I found the jar and lid to be oily as if part of the candle had melted and leaked. As for the scent, I was disappointed. It's far too sweet for my taste and even a little cloying after a while. Perhaps my fault, but I incorrectly assumed from the name of the candle there would be an amber scent, one of the main reasons for buying it. The amber seems only to refer to the colour of the jar which I believe to be slightly misleading. That aside, for the price I'd expected a scent with more depth and complexity. The jar itself is pretty and I'll definitely be reusing it after the candle is finished. It also burns nicely and evenly but ultimately I won't be purchasing again.
