This is the third baby seat I have attempted to install on my Huffy Beach Cruiser and I finally got it to work! The seat did bump the tire a little but once I installed a rear rack under the seat it worked perfectly! I am beyond impressed with how comfortable I feel putting my one year old in this seat. It feels sturdy and he absolutely loves it. Even gets the occasional nap with the recline feature. Needless to say the seat is worth the price and seems like we will have it for a long time as the quality of the material is great!

very happy with this purchase. while we felt the frame mount looked precarious for our rather heavy toddler, it works great and adds natural cushioning. because our toddler is large the shoulder straps were too tight on his shoulders so we decided to cut the rubber pieces off and that worked great. the quality and construction of this seat is amazing and we're super thrilled on this purchase. would highly recommend!

First decision you need to make is frame or carrier mount.Frame mount unsatisfactory for my bike. Resulted in center-of-balance too high and too far back. The fact that a smaller frame-mount bracket is available, says to me that fit can be an issue. I recommend against frame mount.If you choose carrier mount, the carrier isn’t included. Not sure if seat fits all or most carriers.From my experience, don’t expect to be riding shortly after the seat is delivered.I think Hamax should invest in helping buyer determine what will and will not fit a particular bike.Great seat, tricky fit, excellent return policy.

Overall, I give this 4 stars. It looks nice, it's compact and my son seems to be comfortable the few times we've ridden it. Unfortunately, I probably won't be using it anymore because it's just too heavy on the back of my bike. If you don't think you can manage keeping your kid steady, don't buy this. My son fell over in it as I was dismounting my bike and because of the weight, I couldn't catch him in time. Luckily he had a helmet on and didn't have a scratch with the seat, so I do believe it is safe. The instructions are terrible. I had to email Hamax USA a couple of times to get the right fit and adjustments. They need a better instruction video. So, for installation process and design, I'm docking the rating.

I’ve had this seat for about four months now, having lots of fun riding around with my now 18 month old. I am writing a review now because my biggest fear about having this came true and I crashed the bike with my son on board. The crash was totally my fault, being stupid (trying to carry something on the handlebars because we were just going a short way, and it caught in the front wheel), and had nothing to do with the seat being on there. The bike started to flip and then went sideways, so the seat came down on its side. But the amazing thing is that my son literally did not have a single scratch on him (definitely can’t say the same for me). He had a tiny little scuff on the temple part of his helmet and was scared of course, but otherwise totally fine. The seat was pretty scraped up so I guess that took the whole impact. I am so, so thankful that he wasn’t hurt and I do think that having such a quality seat made a big difference in keeping safe.So I highly recommend this seat, but be careful and always make sure you and your kid have helmets on!!!

The seat has a recline feature which has been very nice for our 10 month old. I like that the back of the seat is higher than his head for comfort and safety. It was fairly easy to install once I found the correct placement for it to clear the seat and bike tire. The straps are easy to get on and off and hold our baby in very well.I tried this seat with my 40 lb daughter as well and although she fit safely in the seat, it was too much weight on the back of the bike to be able to control it easily. Once I stopped and was off the seat the back tire of the bike started to slide out from under her almost dropping her strapped in to the bike to the ground. So although this can hold 40+ lbs beware it may not be very safe.

Words can’t really express how satisfied I am with this seat. It’s the best! It was clear even from the careful packaging that Hamax takes pride in their product. The seat itself is well made and attractive. I found the directions to attach it to my bike clear and easy to follow, and I set it up by myself within twenty minutes or so. Once attached, it is very secure. My 18 month old seems to find it comfortable.When riding, it definitely takes a few minutes to get used to the different weight and center of balance, but the seat has its own suspension and kept my kiddo riding smoothly even on a bumpy road.The only problem we had was that we were so excited to try it out, we went for a ride right away...and unfortunately spring wasn’t quite here because it started snowing halfway through! However, our more recent rides have been more pleasant (and much warmer) and we can’t wait to keep exploring by bike through the summer.One thing to keep in mind is that I am not able to use back panniers with the seat on...might just be the way my bike is, but I have to put my front rack back on and use front panniers if I want any kind of storage/carrying capacity.Overall, I’m extremely happy with this bike seat and highly recommend it.
