Q: How long are the stems? I have a 9 inch deep vase and want to make sure all the head fit comfortable out the top

They are a little longer but do bend, I bent mine over, to fit a 8 inch vase , they look wonderful.

Q: Can the stems be cut easily?

The wire is quite sturdy so wire cutters are better, but it's possible to use (old) scissors, may be a struggle.

Q: What size and shape of vase would you recommend please? Thanks

I have had them in a hurricane vase and a silver next circular vase about 12 inch wide/tall but only 2inch deep so narrow. Looked good in both but prefer the silver vase look
