Lift baby Lift
I had purchased a pair of BOXI for the front hood on my R53 last year (2021). They were easy to R&R (install), fit perfectly and worked so well I purchased a pair for the rear hatch this year (2022).Unless you're a BMW-MINI purist, It beats paying the high price for OEM. Amazing product for the money!

Seemed perfect at first
Installation was easy on my 2009 MINI Cooper. As other reviews state, they're much stronger than the OEM, which I came to prefer after only a few days of use.But after the 3rd week of use in Southern Ontario fall weather (so no snow, not even sub-zero temperatures), they lost their "extra kick". As of the 4th week, I'm now back to having to support the hatch with my head as I unload the trunk. Could just be a one-off with my set, but I will be replacing them with another brand.
