I loved this autobiography
I loved this autobiography. A wonderful depiction of World War II: Riotously funny on one page, tragically sad in the next. A triumph.

Brilliant writer.
I first found Leslie Thomas when I read 'This Time Next Week', his account of growing up in a Barnardo's home. This book draws heavily on TTNW; indeed, there are parts when you feel that you could be reading the other book. It does take the reader on to learn more about Thomas' life after Barnardo's and that is something I always wanted to find out about.Highly recommended.

Excellent read, always enjoy author's books as his descriptions of people and places really bring his scenarios to life. I am glad happiness found him.
