Sunnydaze 35" 2-Tier Solar Water Fountain - Outdoor Water Fountain with Battery Backup and Pump - Black

Love this fountain! Easy to set up, when the solar panel is in direct sunlight it works great! When the sun goes down I put it on battery backup and it runs for like 4-5 hours! I'm just sorry I didn't buy one with lights!

The fountain is so beautifully made no one has noticed that it's plastic and I don't tell them! I purchased the "earth" color and the shading and color really makes for an "old-world" look. Once I placed the fountain in my landscaped area that has very large hosta plants, the fountain didn't seem tall enough to me, the bottom 1/3 got gobbled up by the plants. I placed the fountain on an overturned whiskey barrel planter that is nestled hidden in the hostas and other large plants and now the fountain really stands out as a focal point in the garden. I just wanted to mention that the fountain is not as very tall. It arrived without damage, but there was no assembly instructions included in my box. I was going to contact to the company, but it really was so intuitive and easy to put together that it wasn't necessary. I did find a PDF of instructions on the company's website. Also remember it only runs in full sun and when it is on, it makes a delightful trickling sound. The birds in my yard love it!

First of all, i love...love fountains!This fountain is beautiful! looks heavy but it is not, the water falls sounds so relaxing. I placed it next to my gazebo, in my backyard. it is so nice to look at and the sound of the water. works as i wanted to, turns on with the sun and off when there is none. Good height too, i can just leave it on the ground or i could also set on a little pedestal to look a little taller, but on the ground looks just as good too. very easy to put together and the power cord is long enough that you can set up the solar charger far away from it if you need to.i am very happy with my purchase!The fountain still looks great, some paint coming off but the color hides it and it gives an old rustic look, which i love. However, we had some heavy rain recently. i placed the solar panel face up to avoid getting it wet. Somehow, water got into the battery compartment and the batteries got wet. The pump is useless now, the battery compartment should be sealed better to avoid leaks into. Now i am back in amazon looking for a replacement. :-(

The first solar panel and pump were only strong enough to trickle water over three sides of the fountain. After a brief customer service call, they sent out a new panel and pump. Once the new panel arrived I swapped out both pieces and the water flow was noticeably stronger. I turned the fountain around since when level the back spouts were flowing better and after tossing the level and eye balling it I got 5 of the 8 spillovers in the front part of the fountain to work. Perhaps I could get all sides to work if I played with it more but for now this will suffice. The battery charging works well and only requires a pressing of the button to turn it on. The only suggested improvement would be a remote to turn on the fountain at night because grabbing between bushes to the solar panel at night in the desert isn't always the smartest idea. Time will tell how the finish holds up.Update 5/20/17: after closer inspection the top part of the fountain is crooked. I contacted the manufacturer and they are sending a replacement. They are really good at customer service so hopefully the replacement isn't off as well.Update 8/3/17: changing my review to a 1 star because the paint finish is already coming off in the bowls and the finial on the top in less than three months.

I love the look of this fountains and it is so relaxing and calming when it runs. The problem is that on solar power it runs only when the solar panel is in direct sunlight. It does not work in solar mode on cloudy days or when the panel is in the shade, and it does not automatically switch to battery when there isn't enough sunlight, you have to switch it manually, which is disappointing. And it will run on battery only for 4 hrs and then automatically switches to solar. So there is no way to have the fountain running continuously.

The media could not be loaded. Just received this today. I was like a kid on Christmas when this fountain arrived. It was very easy to assemble. I love that the solar panel has a long cord as the area I have it in is shady. I can point the solar panel toward the sun. The water sound is just right. It’s gentle and tranquil. I am about 25 ft away from it sitting on my deck and enjoying the birds splash in it. This is the first day I have had it so I can not speak on its durability. I will update my review to let you all know how it holds up. I love it and I hope it lasts!

The fountain is easy to assemble and it looks great, but in solar mode it turns off after a few minutes in direct Florida sun under clear skies. It also doesn’t automatically switch to battery mode if the solar panel doesn’t provide enough power - I guess you have to go outside and manually switch it to battery mode when a cloud passes over? It’s either a bad design, or poor quality, or both. I was going to send it back, but I decided to replace the pump with a plug-in unit. It worked, but it was a hassle because I had to find one with just the right pressure (I bought one with adjustable water pressure) and I had to splice and reconnect the power cord because a grounded plug won’t fit through the feeder tube in the fountain. I don’t recommend doing that unless you know how to do it safely. The seller should either include or sell a plug-in pump or provide a way to plug in the solar panel for backup power. I gave the fountain two stars in spite of the trouble and additional expense because it looks great, but had I known all this up front I would not have purchased it.

I purchased this in Oct. 2020.It was very easy to assemble and even though it is really lite, it's pretty sturdy.The reason for my review is that I noticed that I was not running, my first thought was ohh pump gone out, but turned to battery and worked fine. Solar panel was in direct sunlight . I called customer service and they were great, asked couple questions and sent me new panel out right away. Like I told them, you just don't find service like that anymore.
