Versatile, and a nice hybrid between a flat and classic thumb pick.
A friend gave me one of these to try, and I loved it so much that I bought an 8-pack. I just started getting into traditional finger-style playing using a thumb pick, and this is a brilliant hybrid between a flat pick that I'm so used to, and a thumb pick. The beauty part of these is you can grip it as you would a flat pick by altering your grip, play scales, speed-pick, etc., but then quickly go to traditional thumb-picking. So, it feels like a flat pick in my grip when I give it a pinch between my thumb and index finger pad, but I can quickly thump out some bass runs while using my other fingers for more traditional 'Travis pickin'. They're also great for strumming, and very forgiving for quick rhythm work. These are a bit small for my thumb (I have medium/large hands), but I'd rather they be a bit tight and grippy, than falling off on me. *The product description states that this is a one-piece purchase, but this is actually an 8-pack.

Nice pick
Great pick. However for my playing with a Banjo....the pick extension part that actually strikes the string is simply too short. So short that in high tempo playing your thumb can also touch the string. Great concept but the shaft is too short...at least for me.

Best one I've tried
Tried a ton of thumbpicks over the years for fingerpicking and always ended up back with the gold standard Dunlops. The Dunlops send out a stronger sound on the bass notes than I prefer, sometimes covering up some of the higher finger-picked notes. Tried these picks and it is much easier to tone down the volume on the bass notes and they feel so comfortable you almost don't know you have it on. I did shave the pick finger down a bit to get an even lighter sound but that's just to suit my personal preference and guitar/strings combination. Sounds great on my Light stringed Taylor 914 and as well as my Medium stringed Resophonics. Eight picks in the package which is good value for the price.

Perfect for Autoharp
I play autoharp. This thumb pick is great. I’m thin, female and this yellow pick is perfect for whom have smaller hands. For people who say this doesn’t fit right, have you customized the pick to your thumb? You can simply run hot water from faucet (hold the blade because otherwise you’ll burn your finger), and run the pick under the hot water for 20 secs or so then place the pick on your thumb, hold for a few sec and run cold water over so plastic hardens.Other use boing hotwater but faucet hotwater works and don’t need preparation.

Fast pull off with a distinct but neutral tone.
Fast string pull off as advertised. It's a bit more comfortable than other thumb picks but I'm not yet enamored with using them. It takes some getting used to. I was happy with the crisp but surprisingly neutral sound I got. I have a self-designed and built piezoacoustic pickup ( so sensitive and picky) acoustic lap steel (non pedal) guitar that has positively hated other thumbpicks (too bright...too listless..too dull...too slow...too stiff... weird tones, etc.). Delrin is a good pick material. Just right for my sound!

These pics suck!!
These pics are so small...I have read that in another review so i ordered the large ones. They are so tight on my finger that it physically hurts! Do not buy these unless you have extremely small fingers.
