Great value and the coffee is great

I use a CHULUX machine that's compatible with Nespresso Original pods, and I’ve been looking for a more affordable alternative to the official Nespresso Lungo capsules. I found these and decided to give them a try.Unfortunately, I was disappointed when brewing them as a Lungo. The taste was weak and watery—more like a diluted Keurig coffee than a true Nespresso experience. While the caffeine content is definitely there, the flavor just didn’t hold up in a longer brew.However, when I used the same pod to make a standard Espresso shot, the result was excellent. Full-bodied, smooth, and exactly what I was hoping for. I now brew it as an Espresso and simply add hot water if I want a longer drink. That workaround works perfectly.The price is great, which makes this a good budget option overall. My only other issue is that you have to buy a large quantity—50 pods at once—which is a bit much if you're unsure about the taste.Bottom line: Not suitable as a Lungo, but makes a solid Espresso. Worth it for the price, so I’m giving it 4 stars.

Purchased as an alternative to the Nespresso level 5 espresso roast that we found in Italy. This was very similar! It is smooth and flavorful. As with professional espresso shots it is important you use the shot immediately or add a splash of milk, sugar or syrup to stop the oxidation of the coffee. If I don’t do that I’ve noticed that it becomes more bitter/acidic tasting the longer it sits.

I bought this product because it was recommended by Amazon, and I expected the same level of quality as Nespresso, which I regularly purchase. Unfortunately, the coffee turned out to be very bitter and has a very unpleasant taste.Since I opened both boxes I received, I wasn’t sure how to return them. Now I’m left with two full boxes of a product that no one in my household wants to consume.I’d like to suggest that Amazon reconsider recommending this item. And if possible, create a return option for cases like this—where evaluating the product’s quality requires opening the packaging and tasting it.

I ordered the lungo pods for my Nespresso machine. 1st impression is that the pods are made with very thin aluminum, but they seem to work just fine in my machine. The biggest problem is the flavor of the coffee, which seems a little off to me. Okay, more than a little off, kind of weak and cheap. It seems to me you get what you pay for when it comes to Nespresso pods. The coffee pods from Nespresso are excellent. With off brands, the cheaper they are, the cheaper they taste. I will drink this coffee, but I certainly won’t order it again.

Thisbisbthe first time I ordered this Amazon alternative to the Original Nespresso capsules and I'm shocked. My order (100 capsules) arrived 10 minutes ago and I couldn't wait, I immediately pulled a shot. To my surprise, it tastes much better than the Nespresso capsules I'm used to.This version has a medium intensity, great for breakfast, specially being a lungo.Now I'll look forward for Amazon to release a maximum intensity lungo to add different options to my capsule dispenser. For a medium intensity I now have a new favorite.This box contains only one variety, however, I've noticed there are also other versions available under the Solimo brand.The capsules, even not being Nespresso original, fit perfectly in my Nespresso machine, with a perfect seal, no leaks at all, just absolute perfection and the flavor, as mentioned before, exceeded all my expectations and even exceeded the original Nespresso excellence.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Although the taste of the coffee is very good. On my machine, the water flows very, very slowly through the capsule which is annoying. I've found that capsules from other companies also sold on Amazon do not have this problem. Seems like the capsule construction needs improvement.

I have tried various brands and these definitely come in as a solid second place to the actual Nespresso pods and that, I think, is saying something! I cannot stomach the price of Nespresso pods for everyday use but I do have a container of them on display in my coffee nook because they are pretty. Those are used for guests and an occasional treat for ourselves! These pods are not display worthy but we just keep them tucked in the top drawer of our coffee nook. We use these pods for everyday because they are sooo affordable and they really do taste great! I can brew a whole cup with these (not just 3.7 oz) and it still tastes like a full bodied coffee :) Winner!
