Maybelline New York Color Sensational Vivid Matte Liquid Lipstick, Rebel Red, 0.26 fl. oz.

I received this product to try, and while I'm not usually a big fan of "liquid" matte lip color, I was pleasantly surprised with the Maybelline Vivid Matte Liquid. First off, it is not so much a true liquid as more of a soft, mousse-like formula. It applies nicely, and it is easy to keep the product within the lip line thanks to its skinny, doe-foot style applicator. It is said that you can achieve two different looks by either applying one thin coat for a bold matte look, or two coats for a soft, creamy look. I tried this, and discovered that while applying one coat sparingly you have less of a chance of smudging, you really need two full coats to develop the true color. This lipcolor feels extremely comfortable on the lips - no dry, cracked lips - and as the color fades away it leaves a nice stain (especially the darker color). I received two shades, Nude Thrill and Rebel Red, and I am loving them both! The nude shade is perfect for everyday, while the red is bright and bold and perfect for adding some punch to your look. My only complaint is the scent..it's quite floral, like an old perfume...not really fruity, but sort of sweet. I prefer a true fruit or vanilla scent for lip products, but this floral fragrance is not horrible, just unexpected. Overall, I am very pleased with this product, and intend to purchase addition colors!Though this item was received free of cost to me, all opinions are my own and based solely on my experience with said product.

The only catch is testing them and sharing your reviews of the products on your various social media outlets. My VoxBox this time (that’s what they call their packages) was from Maybelline. I received two different shades of their Vivid Matte Liquid, Rebel Red and Nude Blush.Let me just say, I’ve only tried these in my apartment, but I can’t wait to wear them out! One application and I’m already in love! Talk about crazy! They’re easy to apply with their application wands. They go on quite smoothly. Their wear is very soft. No stickiness like some liquid mattes I’ve tried. And the shades are SO vibrant! I didn’t wear them with liner like I do normally, but the Nude Flush didn’t look bad at all without it. With the Rebel Red I feel I personally need a liner under it. The shade doesn’t sit completely well with my complexion, but a liner under it should fix that swimmingly.I’d definitely give both these colors a 10/10! Can’t wait to try other shades from this line!

I tested out the shades Nude Flush (10) and Rebel Red (35).First off, the colors are true to how they appear in the packaging, something I have found hard to achieve in drugstore lip products. Nude Flush is a pinky-based nude and Rebel Red is a true red. Both colors went on easily, very hydrating and comfortable on the lips. However, with how comfortable they are, they do not last a long time. If you do any eating, drinking or anything that can involve transfer, the lip color will come off. The brighter/deeper colors do not go on pigmented with one swipe so you can't achieve the matte look as when you keep applying, it gives it a glossier finish. Even with the shades where you only need one swipe, it never fully drys down to a matte but is more of a demi-matte. While reapplying, it doesn't go on clumpy, however the frequency of needing to reapply makes it inconvenient. My biggest complaint however is the taste and smell. It's almost like having a bar of soap in your mouth and the taste/smell of it never goes away to the point I can only leave the product on for a few minutes. Overall, if the taste and smell doesn't bother you, they aren't bad for drugstore lip products but I can't handle it. I would much rather save up for a more high end product that I know is going to last longer. I did receive these products for free to review, and all thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.

Its the worst Maybelline product I have ever bought, is not as described in the details, it does not last more than 5 minutes, color changes from dark purple to pink, messes up and also peels the skin, has a weird smell. Would not recommend to anyone, complete waste of money.

I recently received two different shades of this product: 10 Nude Flush and 35 Ruby Road. Also, please note that I am of darker BROWN skin color.The packaging of the lip colors were perfect! The size of the container accurately depicted how much lip color you were actually getting.Now let me walk you through color by color:10 Nude Flush --I wore this out on a casual day. It seemed to be a fairly complimentary color when I looked at its packaging. I was wrong. Matched with my skin tone, this color looked more like I had chapped lips than matte color. The color blended in and almost exactly resembled my natural lip color. I applied 1 coat, originally, then another after I noticed the lack of color change. I did not receive any particular comments throughout the day. The quality of the matte effect itself I would have to say was top class. On lighter skin, I believe this would look wonderful.35 Ruby Road --This color I wore on a night out. I applied a generous coat and then dabbed my lips on a piece of toilet paper to intensify the matte effect. I LOVE this color! It popped so perfectly and was not too bright of a red. It is also not a lip stain and was easy to remove in the case of a slight mistake when applying. This color lasted a good 4-5 hours before I reapplied, granted I was eating and drinking during those hours.Overall, I believe that t he matte effect was spot on for both colors.
