Could not put out a car fire
Bought this to see how well it performed. At training on May 25th 2021 we tried it on a sedan. The scenario we used was an actual engine compartment fire with the hood down. This is typically what we have on arrival so this test was about as real life you can get. The vehicle’s design does not allow easy access to the engine compartment with the hood down. Based on the how the Element 50 did, it was not sufficient to do the job. It also appears to be exothermic when in operation. I put it against the gap between the headlight and the hood and it started to melt the headlight plastic. Mind you as per protocol, I was wearing full structural gear and SCBA, so I was able to get closer than someone in plain street clothes. The car was still burning. Now if the vehicle design allows you to access the engine compartment with the hood down, you may have a chance, but I would go with a 100 vice 50. I don’t plan on buying another one. My fire chief was not impressed either. Between the two of us we have over 80 years combine experience in the fire service.

Most compact fire extinguisher i could find
This extinguisher is the perfect size, hopefully I will never have to use it. I bought one for my car and one for the kitchen in my house. It's small enough to be held with 1 inch 3M velcro tape. I used the 10lbs hold strength so when I'm offroad the bouncing doesn't cause it to fall. The peace of mind the element fire suppression extinguiaher gives me made it worth the price.

Completely Satisfied!
These are a great way to add safety to your car, or anywhere, without taking up a lot of space or adding the weight of a normal fire extinguisher. Great seller, fast shipping!

Handy and compact
We keep this in our camper kitchen area. It’s compact and doesn’t need to be serviced like a regular fire extinguisher

Compact, easy to install, but pricey compared to a fire extinguisher.
I am a car guy, and own a hot rod. I was looking for a fire extinguisher that was small, easy to install. I came across the Element E50 fire suppressor, did some research. It's compact, about the size of an emergency flare, it doesn't leave the residue behind like fire extinguisher does. Given it's a one-time use, it's more expensive than a fire extinguisher and can't be re-used. I haven't had the occasion to use it as yet, and hopefully I never will. But I'm happy to have it when I'm on my way to a car show or cruise night.

Good Stuff
Like the form factor.Handles A/B/C/K Fires.50 seconds of one time use.You probably wouldn't get that long from a standard fire extinguisher.Although a standard fire extinguisher would be more forceful discharging the chemical.Have one mounted in front of passengers seat and one mounted in trunk.Plus I have a H3R Performance clean agent gas fire extinguisher if needed.

Small, light, easy to place
Well it’s tough to review because I haven’t had a house fire. With any luck I’ll never have a review to write. But the unit is small and light. I got the magnet and put one on each refrigerator.., so universally the family knows an extinguisher is always on the refrigerator.

Small but mighty.
I carry one on my HD. My riding buddy's trike caught fire (not a HD) and it easily put it out without a mess. He was able to fix the fuel leak and off we went. Pricey, but worth it.
