They would get better for a little while
This book saved my life! I have tried soooo many things over soooo many years to fix my digestive problems. They would get better for a little while, and then go right back to their old ways. I would try a new "therapy" or diet, get discouraged and give up. Then, after suffering for a while again, I'd try something else with renewed hope - only to be disappointed. Imagine my surprise when, after just one week, ALL my issues cleared up. I can't tell you how bad I suffered with bloating, diarrhea, cramps, lethargy,etc. But now - I am normal! I am not even willing to start adding back in many foods as I am content eating what is on the "allowed" list if it helps me maintain a normal life. I had tried a low FODMAPS diet before, but it was really hard to know how to cook when you had to eliminate so many staples like onions and garlic. I'd used them all my life. But this book gave me the tools to eliminate those foods and yet still make flavorful meals. I even purchased the additional cookbook. I am a picky eater and, I have to say, I like most of the recipes and flavors in this book. If you are searching for a solution to digestive issues and you have tried EVERYTHING else - try this - it might be a life saver for you too!!

The few recipes I've tried so far are tasty - they don't seem like diet food at all
I started this diet in part to lose the 5 pounds I gained over the holidays, and in part to see if it would help my acid reflux. I'm not quite done with the first week, and I've lost 2 pounds. My acid reflux hasn't acted up at all. The few recipes I've tried so far are tasty - they don't seem like diet food at all. They are also quick and easy to make, although if you have a busy schedule you have to really plan ahead. A few of the items in some of the recipes are hard to find at your regular grocery store. You might have to go to a health food store, or someplace that carries a lot of specialty items. Also, I've found that you don't need the 21-Day Tummy Diet book that this is supposed to go with. This book works fine as a stand-alone.Would highly recommend if you are someone who can plan meals ahead of time and are capable of sticking to a very restrictive diet.

Excellent Sequel
An excellent sequel, with more of the clever, simple, easy-to-modify and easy-to-adapt recipes that made the original "21-Day Tummy Diet" book so useful. Convenient "Cooking for One" downsizing instructions on many of them. Good re-explanation of the "belly buddies VS belly bullies" concepts/tests without taking up too much room. A great resource for those of us who've had to modify the way we eat to solve gastro-intestinal problems and need as many recipe ideas as we can get to keep our meals interesting. However, newcomers should probably read/use the original book first to make sure they're completely on board and can fully appreciate and implement the versatility of the method.

Great for reflux I highly recommend
This book has made an amazing difference for my tummy. I have had two nissen surgeries and still suffer with heartburn (mainly nagging cough) after starting this diet I noticed a huge reduction in my cough and other reflux symptoms. I lost 4 pounds the first week but after finishing the 21 days I am back to my beginning weight ( I wasn't doing this for weight loss) but I did not go by measured amounts or strict diet I just used the recipes and drank a smoothie every morning which are amazing. I have tweaked a lot of the recipes but I stay whithin the guidelines of foods and spices I can eat and most of the recipes I have tried are really good but there are a few...... Well I guess like most cookbooks there are always going to be a few that you don't like. My family has also enjoyed a lot of the recipes (they didn't even know that I had substituted some unhealthy ingredients for healthier ones) I would have never tried a lot of the foods (vegitables mainly) if it weren't for this diet. I am surprised at how many of them I like and the mixtures and flavors of the foods are wonderful !!! I have noticed when I don't stick to the diet my reflux symptoms immediately return. So I am happily sticking to this new and very tasty way of eating. I now have my parents eating a lot of the foods and meals from this book and They as well have been very impressed, I will definitely be a lifetime fan.

Great content, poor material
The recipes are great, and most are fairly easy to make. Cookbook is a great supplement to the original 21-day tummy menu plan. This is our third time doing the diet. Both my husband and I lost weight. The reason I only gave it two stars is because the cookbook literally fell apart at the seams the very first time I am using it. I will try to attach a photo here. Very disappointed in the quality. I would love to have a replacement, but I am outside the return window of time. I ordered it back in January and just started using it this month.

But the cookbook
I bought both the cookbook and diet book. I would recommend only buying one of them. They both have the same information. The cookbook had more recipes and therefore is a better choice over the diet book. I did follow the plan and my tummy problems did get better. I did not lose any weight though!

The receipies are great and all my family likes the food I cook ...
This is my second book by this author. Wanted to cook something new course I already kooked everything from the previous book. Wasn't dissatisfied at all! The receipies are great and all my family likes the food I cook from the book.Btw. Forgot to mention that I lost 25 pounds with this book! :)
