Handy thing to have around.
This is a very helpful item. I would loose my head if it wasn't attached, so my keys have never even stood a chance. When I received it, I immediately went to put it on my keys, then promptly lost the directions! Found them quickly and began to set it up for my phone. You have to download an app for it too work.There are two scan codes on the back of the box to take you to your item's store, Apple/ Google. The one for the iPhone is called Radar-Man. The set up is very easy to do, just follow the directions. I am not very gifted in the magikal and mysterious workings of Blue Tooth, so I did have a small problem with the set up. Once I got going, it went pretty well. The key fob comes with an extra battery (great, unless you loose that to!). I got the phone and fob connected together, then his my keys to find them. After blindly pushing buttons (those directions things again!) I was able to hear a beeping from the keys, as well as the map display showing me their general location. I even toyed with the the idea of finding my cat, but I felt the key fob to be too much for her!If you press the button on the fob, your phone will alarm. I was able to locate them 99% of the time when hubby hid them in the yard.Pros: Lightweight fob, Spare battery, has an app for that, Clear instructions and very consumer friendly.Cons: Some minor problem locating and using the app, but I am guessing operator error on mypart.I received this product for free or at a heavily discounted price for the purpose of evaluation for an honest, unbiased review. Handy little item finder!
Okay, so most important thing first: It works, and it works well! The directions are a bit lacking, particularly in obtaining the necessary app. You'll need to search the Google Play / App Store for "Swifty Finder", including the space. Once that's done, the rest is covered.Pairing the device was painless; it works like any other Bluetooth device. Once paired, you can tweak your settings, such as tone, range, and so on. I recommend "Do Not Disturb mode" if your phone seems to be reconnecting to the device often, as otherwise it will let you know each time with an audible tone. Keeping the phone and the fob slightly apart seems to help with my phone, as noted in the manual. Range is good, more than I need at home, and certainly enough to ensure you'll find your phone or keys.The fob is also useful as a remote camera activator. I tested it out a bit, and it's certainly better than messing with timers or the ridiculous selfie stick. Clicking the fob will also ring your phone with a selected ringtone, which is my favorite feature. One could have quite a bit of fun with various ringtones and hiding the phone in an inconspicuous place.
