Terracotta Tile Liquid Shine, 250 ml

Used this to renovate seal and polish old quarry floor tiles at our front door. The polish came up really well, the tiles now look as good as new. Found it easy to use just pour out and spread with a cloth. So far have given 2 coats to the tiles and now look fantastic.

I have a small holiday home in Spain. The terracotta tiles are possibly 40 years old. To my knowledge they have never been serviced. They were bleached, stained and dull. For some years I’ve been saying I must do something about them. So I gambled on this restorer. The first picture is before I started. The second half way through the 1st coat. The 3rd after 2 coats. I’m very happy with the result. They have the colour back and look refreshed. I’m stopping at 2 because I don’t want them to go a deeper shade. The floor is about 4 meters x 2. I still have enough for a 3rd coat easily.

Restored depth of colour to old quarry tiles and helped to even out the colour between old tiles and new replacement tiles. Very easy to apply but remember to wear rubber gloves as it can make your hands look rather unsightly for a day or two! The product was better than I expected.

Lifeless terracotta tiles look richer. It also colours the cement between the tiles but hopefully there will be less dust because of this. Only given one coat and I'm pleased with the result.

Having followed the instructions implicitly, I have to say the results were very disappointing. Yes, the terracotta tiles were looking nice and resonant (after two coats) but shine??? Zip, zippy, nicht, No. If you look at the image on the can you'd be fooled into thinking, like I did, that effect could be achieved. No way do my tiles, which ironically, are almost exactly the same as the ones shown in the can photo, look anything like they do. I am going to have to buy a tile polish to give them the shiny, semi-gloss I was hoping this purchase would achieve. So if you're looking for 'shiny' as well as color restoration you might want to consider your purchase of Tableau Terracotta Tile Liquid Shine.
