Great tuna, good packaging, more mildly prepared than some other brands
I've tried another brand of Albacore Tuna recently until they'd hiked their price up. Trying this tuna sold by Chicken of the Sea now, I'm pleased to have made the switch over to this brand. However the other brand may be processing the tuna before canning, this Chicken of the Sea tuna has a really much milder taste to it. It seems, to me, actually more nutritious. In serving ideas, I tend to mix tuna or other can-packed fish with some almond oil, ginger powder, chili powder, soy sauce, and a slight amount of black pepper. I believe it works out well over rice, added mid-cook with some microwave-thawed frozen vegetables. Alternately, if adding some diced olives to the seasoned tuna, it can work out as a sandwich mix too. This Chicken of the Sea tuna is really a lot milder in that mix. I'll probably be choosing this brand, next time. The packaging is usable, and I'm sure it's compatible with their grocery supply chain. With the cans packed into a store-stock kind of shrink-wrapped flat with individual four-packs inside, it ships well and stores well too.

Pretty good, better than peasant tuna!
Pinkies out! This is the fancy tuna. Tastes so much better in my opinion than regular pink, mushy, "is that skin and an eyeball?" tuna. I'll never go back!

PLEASANTLY SURPRISED
This was very close in quality to solid white albacore tuna of various brands but at a much better price. Great value!

Good Price on This Tuna. Quality? Not So Much!
The price is right but the quality is B or C grade. White Albacore Tuna at Aldi is slightly more expensive but is solid white meat instead of white meat shreds with dark meat mixed in. Still, this is a "close match" product and a decent value considering the 100% inflation of grocery prices that we're up against. Who knew that retail corporate grocery CEOs wouldn't stop until they had all of our money? Example: Pre-Inflation Solid White Albacore Tuna Prices per 5 ounce can: 99 cents. Post-Inflation Price per 5 ounce can: $1.99. That equals 100% inflation by my math, not Eight Percent.

A tasty pantry staple in this house
Buying in bulk saves a trip to the grocery store. This is our favorite tuna, and I will definitely be buying more cases soon.
