First Botany Cosmeceuticals Therapeutic Grade Clove Leaf Essential Oil with a Glass Dropper, 4 fl oz

Please do not be fooled. What I purchased was "Clove Essential Oil" as shown. What I got was "Clove Leaf Essential Oil" instead. These two things do not smell alike. No-one I have passed this bottle to has said it smells good. In fact, the best thing one can say about it is that it will at least make the outdoor trash bin less stinky when I throw it away. This was a waste of my money.

I have enjoyed using clove oil in my oil diffusers for years. I was looking forward to trying this brand. It is the most putrid smelling oil I have ever used. In fact, I forgot I have put in my diffuser and suddenly I smelled something horrible. I looked through the house for what could be causing this odor and traced it to the diffuser.

The essential oil we received was rancid. It sure does not smell like "pure therapeutic grade clove oil," as stated on the bottle.

I think there is a difference between clove leaf and clove bud. The bud smells stronger and the leaf is much more earthy. I use this in my borax dry powder soap for laundry booster. Smells better after it's gone through laundry cycle. I just pour my powder in class container put a couple droppers of clove in and mix up then scoop out a cup for the load of laundry. I would love to be able get this in clove bud only. Good price.

We use this oil as part of a mixture of cinnamon, peppermint and clove oils that we spray around our property to keep rattlesnakes away. It works. The strong scent seems to be more than they want to deal with.

I use this in my diffuser and love the aroma that fills the room. This is much better then the pan on the stove with water as I love the smell of clove. I have not used it other uses yet, but will experiment and see what works for me, but for right now, very please.

I use this when I feel like I'm getting sick by adding a few drops to a glass of water, or rubbing some straight onto my wrists or feet. The smell is kind of an acquired taste, but the benefits of this are amazing. Really helps me stay healthy.

Winter time I change all my house smell good stuff to spicy. Cloves is always included. I love wax melts, but they don't last too long so I add a few drops of clove oil as well as cinnamon oil to make the wax last longer. I gave thickness a 1 star because it is a normal oil not thick; which I don't want anyway.
