- Artisan Handmade – Our beads are handmade from magazine papers that are hand rolled into the bead shapes and sealed with a skin-safe waterproof finish to make the bead long lasting
- Superior Quality - Each bead is carefully crafted so it can be easily threaded and used in jewelry and other creations, and is carefully inspected and tested in both Uganda and in our Colorado office to make sure the bead has the correct hole size, shape and color
- Recycled & Eco-Friendly - Beads are made from recycled magazine paper and are the color of the original printed paper, often including flecking and markings which were the writing on that paper making each bead unique
- Beads for Charity - We are a U.S. nonprofit helping Ugandans earn a living so they can support their families. We pay each artisan a fair trade price so she can buy food, help send her children to school and start or grow her own business in Uganda. All items ship with a gift bag and card about the women who make the beads
- Vibrant African Colors – With many colors and patterns to choose from, our beads provide many different color combinations for use in specialized jewelry and craft products created by jewelers, artists, designers and crafters
This fall color mix of beads contains beautiful oranges, tans, browns, golds and more. The beads are handmade from recycled magazine papers and rolled into shapes and sealed with a waterproof sealant. Bead size is roughly .5 inches x .2 inches with a .5mm hole in the middle. Beads are shipped in a 4" x 4" plastic bag and come with an organza bag and card about the women who make these items. Handmade by our Uganda women's artisan groups. Ships from Denver, Colorado.
