I wanted skeleton mitts but these are infinitely better. I love them! Do pay attention to the warning about not getting them wet, as with any other fabric they don’t resist heat when wet.

As these are fabric, they quickly absorb liquid, which due to its heat transfer rating, will quickly burn you.Now, the tag warns you, but it is easy to forget that there is liquid in the bottom of some dishes, and still use this. I have made a casserole, that, if finished, would have no liquid, but erroneously removed it and burnt myself when it splashed up from the pan.I highly suggest something with a silicone cover or silicone core - as mistakes happen often in any kitchen.It is also worth mentioning that the design is just melted into the fabric - so cleaning them is difficult without destroying that. I have a bit of it that is peeling off, and I often use other options due to these being fabric.

These are awesome as I brought them for me and now the wife is using them more than me at the present time. Once again awesome and great item.

I am heavy into grilling and smoking meat, as well as baking. I have another set of heat resistant gloves which are kind of like your typically comical not anatomically correct shape. They work, but the pinky is strange.These on the other hand for a fairly average too large sized man hands are a bit snug and while i initially didn’t care for it, i have come to like the better dexterity the gloves provide. They are a bit thick too which I initially didn’t like, but then i pulled a 12 pound pork butt off the smoker and didn’t have to rush to put it in the cooler because the heat was seeping in. So that’s a plus from me.The grippy texture is gimmicky, but it’s effective and while that opinion may be because I’m an upstanding man about town, my kids love the design. I secretly like it as well.Cleaning is fine, they are like any gloves off this material, there’s not much you can do when caramelized BBQ sauce gets jammed into the fibers. They wash up fine though, but be warned that you’ll need to wipe off the heaviest stuff quickly.All in all, a good glove that fits and protects better than other gloves costing about the same. I’d say that while subjective, these gloves seem strongly constructed.Will update in the future if i run into any issues.

I used these gloves the very first day I got them! In addition to cooking often on the BBQ, I make a LOT of roasted vegetables. The day these arrived, that was my plan. Cauliflower, carrots, onions, potatoes, and breaded eggplant were on my list of things to roast. I typically juggle multiple sheet pans, putting one sheet pan in while taking the other one out. These gloves were AWESOME! In this case, I only used the glove on one hand, because I was scooping the veggies off the pan with a spatula in my other hand. I pulled the sheet pan out of the oven and whipped it around the kitchen with ease. And didn't feel a thing! And the glove was very flexible, with each individual finger moving easily. I also love that they have a long cuff - it protects my wrist and forearm, too. I have another pair of "oven gloves" that are made out of silicone and they're impossible to work with - they feel like you're wearing a mitten instead of a glove because the fit is terrible. It's like they traced a giant hand and cut it out, and they don't bend or move as these gloves do. These gloves are my favorite new kitchen item. With all the cooking I do, they will definitely be used often. I haven't washed them yet but when I do, I plan to just throw them in the washing machine. Definitely a good purchase. When summer comes, my husband and I will be using them with our BBQ grill and pellet smoker. These would make a great gift!

I have the "Ove Glove". You know from those late night infomercials. It was given to me as a gag gift and now I use it in it kitchen and at the rifle range. I purchased the Guardian gloves and they work. Just not very well. If something is too hot the white texturing on the gloves will make its way onto the hot surface, and the inside layer seems to always collapse when they're stored. Making putting them on an ordeal each time. Yes they provide added heat protection, but unless you're planning on holding something that's 600+ Degrees Fahrenheit for more than 30 seconds. I recommend just getting an Ove Glove.

A great set of oven gloves! I bought these mainly to use with my Big Green Egg BBQ which can see temps over 500C so they sounded perfect.They got delivered in good time and packaging so i though i would put them to the test and reverse seared some HUGE steaks!! When removing the ceramic heat deflector i measured the temp using an infrared laser and it was over 300C.These gloves dealt with it with ease, you could feel that it was warm but it stopped the heat getting to my hands. the material is thick and has white rubber to give you a secure hold, even on glass pots. The cuff of the gloves go up the forearm for added protection which is good if you have to reach deep inside your cooker.We used to use old style mitts or a tea towel to grab things out of the oven but having fingers to grab things really makes a difference. It means dropping food and oven burns are now a thing of the past!

These really are totally heat resistant! Ive tried quite a number of oven gloves over the years and this is the only pair that has actually done exactly what it claims. I love the fact that they cover your wrists which is generally where you catch yourself on the scalding oven shelves. Its so good to know that you can hang on to those hot pots without rushing to put them down before burning yourself. I would recommend the Heat Guardian to anyone who cooks or barbecues. They are worth their weigh in gold. Yes they are a largish size but the inside is a comfortable fit - great to have the longer finger sizes - generally gloves are too short in the finger length. These fit both me and my hubby so they're perfect for us. A quality product at a very reasonable price.

Absolutely amazing product, no chance of burning the hands, no risk of slippage, really comfortable to use.The only issue for me was that the seams inside could have been done better as there were so loose threads inside which kept tangling on the hands until i turned the gloves inside out and trimmed them.However the i cannot fault the product claims at all. Havent washed them yet so cannot comment how the functionality will be after washing but so far so good.

There are some quality problems here and there but it's not a reason to get it less than 5 stars.I've put my food in an oven for over an hour above 200 degrees celsius and using those gloves I could take it out without a problem. Only after about a minute it would get too hot. Even though the external layer of the gloves is too hot to touch (you can get burnt) you barely feel anything inside. Great product for a great price, recommended.
