Got this scoop for metal detecting at the beach .after the plastic one wasn't doing the job.It works great and seems to hold up great to my metal detecting adventures.Notes:You will need to buy and install your own handle.It does come with the black grip, I removed it since I have the wood handleLikes:Built tough. The metal seems thick enough to not bend when using it on wet sand at the beach. I use it like a shovel.The welds look good as far a quality goes.The holes seem to be the correct size, allowing you to sift the dirt to see the goodies.dislikes:Its heavy. (I guess you can't get the toughness without the weight.)It is a bit pricy but then again, its built tough.I definitly recommend this scoop. Its one of those purchases that I should have just bit the bullet and gotten first instead of the cheaper options. Its worth it.

I used it in wet sand. I was never concerned about bending or breaking. I still need to add 5ft handle for more convenience.

To tell you the truth, it’s a very well made product. I’m new to treasure hunting, and to me it seems to be very big and heavy. Plus, I thought the sand would go right through the holes but it does not. I used it a few times then I started using a military utility shovel. Works great and it’s light.

it was a little heavy for a my 4 year old grandson, other than that it sifted well and was used to find a number of coins and things on the beach

I'm not a welder but this look poorly done to me. The two supports in the back don't look very good.The part for the handle isn't even connect to the on the back Other reviews with pictures show much better welding. It's the reason I purchased this one instead of CKG. I will have to use it for my trip but I would not be surprised if it breaks.

Very strong and sturdy

Très bon rapport qualité/prix. C'est assez lourd mais pas vraiment le choix vu la matière, c'est robuste et va très bien pour le sable sec, un peu moins sur le sable humide et rocailleux, mais pour le prix, c'est un très bon produit, je recommande !

Great product for the money. Weight a slight disadvantage, offset by easier to dig targets first time as this scoop is very wide. I made a telescoping handle from an aluminium crutch, cut and inverted, with a brass bolt through. Fits in the car easier than a long pole. Drain holes could be a tadge bigger, but in water and dry sand it's quick to drain. At the price point, excellent, as is the Dr Oetker pinpointer.

I havn't used it yet but it is solid and looks well made . Really good price.

Muy resistente

It's looks to be very good quality and bigger than I thought. Looks well made. We put a metal handle on it and have used it. It took us a long time to choose a sand scoop and we are glad we chose this one. Really happy with this sand scoop.
