The lights performed as expected, adequate brightness, the remote was under-powered (you have to be close to change functions).The 8 modes are preprogrammed and use all the colors meaning you can turn the lights on blue only and have them flash/strobe/ chase etc.. all blue they pick an assortment of colors and rotate through them.I wanted to be able to have only blue lights chase and couldn't.But other than that they work good, I cannot attest to the durability but will update in the future.

TIPS:*The timer is tricky if you plug them into an outlet with a timer.* Stick with only one brand. I added a different brand to the front of the house and it not only screwed up my pool lights in the back, it even screwed up the lights on my mantle inside.These are very pretty, a tad on the bright side, but not too bad. I have them lying on my pool deck around the back side of the pool. I was using the Aqua color, but added a strand next to it set on Multi to tone down the Aqua. It gives off a pretty cool aura even from the front of the house. They're outside on my pool deck in the Florida sun and rain and have held up very well.The remote control STINKS -- it's WAY too complicated for them to be such cheapskates that they don't include, not only a printed manual, but they don't even have an online manual. Basically you have to just keep pushing buttons until you get what you want -- and hope it stays there -- they're on the pricey side to have to do that.

My plans are to put them up for Halloween and switch colors for Christmas. They are what they should be. They do dot connect to each other. But no problem for my needs. And after the holidays, they will go out by the pool.

first set lasted 1 winter then connector quick working. Ordered a second time and wrapped around base of tree for Christmas this year and full set worked for 1 month then 1/2 the lights stopped working. very disappointed with this product

Love that it has a remote with them. I had a few LED's not working but the company sent me a whole new set for free. No questions asked. Very good customer service & support for their product.
