Disappointing
There were several things in this novel that were disappointing ... mainly Indie and Lincoln's moms. I love Lincoln, thought he was a great character and honestly, who would run from a relationship with him? Indie's character was very unlikable and she never fully trusted Lincoln even as a friend .... she didn't even tell him she was offered a pro contract? She held things from him the entire book even as they stressed their relationship was based on a friendship - who treats friends like that? And the whole Anthony story line was unnecessary and so out of character for Indie and her relationship with Lincoln .... again, who doesn't share relationship news with their best friend? And what happened to Scarlet? Her only tell it like it is friend. I'm sure Quinn put Lincoln's moms in the story for a reason but their constant inappropriate comments around Lincoln were not funny to me and even made me feel uncomfy. It's almost like he allowed it because they gave him such a comfortable and loved upbringing. But in reality, parents joking about your kids sex life, blow job, etc. isn't really funny. I wasn't surprised to see all the 5 star reviews as reader seem to just be loyal to the author not the book so much. I felt Lincoln deserved a better story and love interest. And the skipping ahead, 1 year, 2 years etc at the end was not necessary either and then their story wrapped up in a hot minute. After all they had been through, a few quick I love yous and all was well. I only gave 3 stars because I liked Lincoln and seeing past characters.

An INCREDIBLE five stars!!!
My heart. My poor heart. Where the hell did this story come from because I want more! Seriously. The Set Up was perfect in so many ways. This book seriously pulled at my heartstrings and I did not see it coming. And I freaking LOVED it! Lincoln and Indie may have just bumped Knox and Emory out of the spot as my top baseball couple in this series. They gave me ALL of the feels and broke my heart in the absolute best way. I was totally invested in their story from the get go.This book is pure magic. Lincoln and Indie, I honestly adored them both. Lincoln has to be one of the best heroes Meghan has ever created, and I don't say that lightly. He's handsome, funny, smart, loyal, supportive, and quite honestly? He is 100% incredible and he is seriously the sweetest guy. And Indie, so complex, and I absolutely loved her. She’s sassy, passionate, she gave as good as she got and I love that she fought for what she wanted. She was fiercely independent, yet she truly has a heart of gold. Admittedly, I did get a little frustrated with her at times, but I could understand why she behaved the way she did. I think that was the beauty of her and the journey that she took to find herself, it really felt like I was on that journey right along beside her. The chemistry between the two of them was off the charts, the emotion that bled between them just poured from the pages and their connection was everything. It was so clear that they were meant to be together.Meghan Quinn has once again taken a hero and heroine and made me fall completely in love with them. She took a friends to lovers romance and made it something utterly special. It wasn’t your average college romance. It is an epic love story that involved trust, loyalty, honesty, commitment and love. The only thing that threw me and saddened me slightly was the twist surrounding Indie towards the end, but I’m not letting that take away the sheer brilliance of this book.I absolutely loved being back at Brentwood college. I have an endless love for these characters, sports, and school. I cannot get enough of it. Meghan Quinn has captured my heart and soul with this book and I sincerely hope Meghan will continue to give us hilarious new adult romances from this world. That said, with the fabulous new side characters that were introduced in this book, it seems very likely! There are definitely some characters from this book who's stories need to be told. There’s absolutely nothing better than a book that makes you laugh, cry and leaves you thinking about the characters long after you have closed the book. The Setup was an absolute delight to read and is right up there as one of my top 2020 reads.

Meghan Quinn hit this one out of the park!!
My heart. This book seriously pulled at my heartstrings. Lincoln and Indie are hands down my favorite of Meghan’s baseball couples (and that’s saying something because Maddox Paige may be fictional but I’m pretty sure I was in love with him lol). Lincoln and Indie have some of the funniest banter, but some of the most heartbreaking moments as well.Lincoln is seriously the sweetest guy. When he’s your friend, there is no one more loyal, and no one that you can count on more. He doesn’t take his friendships lightly, and when you become his friend, it’s a big deal. The way he cared about Indie (and the way Meghan described it) was beautiful. He only wanted the best for her, even if that meant it wasn’t him. The push and pull between the two of them, I don’t think I have words for how much I loved it.And Indie, that girl is seriously one so complex, and I love it. She gave as good as she got, I love that she fought for what she wanted. She’s fiercely independent, but she truly has a heart of gold. The journey that she took to find herself, I felt like I was on that journey right along beside her. Meghan Quinn has once again taken a hero and heroine and made me fall in love with them. She writes in such a way that it makes these characters seem real, and makes me want to be their friends! And Lincoln’s roommates/best friends, OH MY GOSH, these boys cracked me up, Hartley, Hutton, Rusty, Asher, even Deacon, seriously get them all together and I was laughing out loud. I need each and every one of those boys to get a book of their own! And Scarlett, Indie’s best friend, that girl is my spirit animal, no filter, says what she means and doesn’t care who hears it. She’s hilarious and an amazing friend to Indie. All of these secondary characters in this story added so much to this book! One of my favorites reads of 2020!!

It has it All!!!!
Oh how I missed Brentwood!!! I so love those baseball players!!! But Meghan is messing with my head and my heart...every time I think she’s given me the perfect stud...BOOM! She comes up with one even better. Lincoln is just a dream, he is simply perfect, good athlete, great guy, good looking, sexy, great loyal friend, funny , witty...need I go on?! Indie is also a great character, strong, focused, great athlete whose passionate about her beloved soccer and she’s flipping good at it too! She’s got a great sense of humour and she’s very witty. But this great friends to lover story wouldn’t be anything special without some angst and let me tell you that my poor heart couldn’t take it at times, tears rolling down my cheeks, me thinking MEGHAN WHAT THE HELL!!! But fear not that as only a Meghan can she managed to bring it all together to make this story in my opinion one of the best Brentwood stories. The complexity of the characters is fantastic and how they find themselves dealing with life is refreshing, real, emotional and fun. If you are looking that will make you cry, laugh and become really invested in a story and the characters I truly recommend this one. You won’t be disappointed.

Lincoln at his best!!
Ok so with each and every one of these Brentwood stories I have truly believed they are each my favourites and they can't get any better... then I go ahead and read the next one and im drawn in and hooked loving each and every minute yet again!Lincoln is just as amazing as I truly thought he would be... After hearing so much about Lincoln in the previous books I just knew he'd make me swoon... and swoon I did!!!!At points I so wanted to shout and scream and plead with him and Indie to work it out but the way it happened gave me all the feels and made me feel so much for Indie too. These guys were just fantastic together from the first meeting when set up by their mums ..not looking for any kind of romance or more these guys became the bestfriends you could ever want.So sad its the last book next for the series!

Fantastic!!
5 Stars!!Lincoln and Indie’s story was fantastic!!! I laughed so much loved all the characters in this and am going to need their stories too haha!Neither Lincoln or Indie are wanting a relationship but when their mums try and set them up they find it really easy being around each other and start up a friendship. What happens when things start to get blurred between them? Will their friendship survive? Can they navigate the waters of being professional athletes and can they both realise what everyone else has seen brewing between them?

My favourite
I laughed so hard, tea came out my nose! Extremely funny, I loved the characters in this book. But I also hated this book for breaking my heart! I've read it a few times now and wish there was more of their story. Some continuation. I felt the loss after the book was done.
