Perfect fan for trip to Europe; fits in carry-on
I decided to buy this to take on future trips to Europe. It is extremely hot in Europe regardless of the season. The trains are very hot winter and summer. The hotels are hot and many don't have air conditioning, or they refuse to turn it on even when it is really hot. I've found that even when it is 60 degrees outside at night, opening a window offers little relief, because the cool air doesn't come into the room. So I wanted a fan that was small enough to use on a train, or perhaps even an airplane, but large enough to assist in bringing some cool outside air into a hotel room.I haven't taken it to Europe yet, but I've experimented with it at home and this fan looks like it will be perfect for my intended use. It is dual voltage, which means I can just use a plug adapter and use it in Europe. It provides a reasonable amount of wind force; certainly all I could expect from a 10" fan. I've charged it and then let it run until the batteries discharged, and it ran for quite a long time, although I didn't measure it. I doubt I will use the backup D-battery capacity often, but that is nice to have. The legs are easily removable, and this fan fits easily in my eBags TLS Mother Lode Weekender Convertible (Solid Black), which I take onto planes to hold my computer and electronics plus a change of clothes. For what it's worth, the fan will stand up without the legs, and that might be how you would want to use it on a plane or a train.I think this is the most expensive O2 fan because of its use of three power sources; the fan will automatically use the "cheapest" option, first plug power, second the internal battery, and third the D batteries to run the fan. This can be a pretty good thing. The USB port is only for charging things like a phone; you cannot charge the fan through the USB port. The inner fan unit has almost unlimited vertical tilt ability to allow one to adjust the direction of the air flow. I checked the weight using my bathroom scale, and the listed weight of 3.4 pounds looks about right; without the power adapter the weight is about 2.5 pounds.A couple of reviewers have complained of a lack of quality; I did not find this to be a problem, although this is a plastic fan and I can see how there might be some quality control issues; it seems quite sturdy to me. I have seen complains about other O2 fans that the battery will not charge, and it certainly will not charge when the fan is in the "OFF" position, only in the "STOP" position. I think this fan has an automatic shutoff, but with battery operated devices, once the battery is charged you should unplug it as overcharging the battery for an extended time will ruin it. Also, when buying this for occasional use as I did, you should take it out every couple of months and run it until the battery discharges completely and then charge it up again, as this will maintain the battery; don't just "top it up."Having left my glowing review of this fan, I should note that the current price is substantially more than I paid. What seems to be an identical fan, O2COOL 10-Inch Portable Smart Power Fan with AC Adapter & USB Charging Port, is being offered with Amazon Prime shipping. Since I believe these fans to be absolutely identical, everything I said about this fan applies to that fan. Just choose the fan with the lower price.

Great fan. Rechargeable, battery operated or plug in. Thin design easy to store. Works great!

REPEAT BUYER: TOP PRODUCT
I have owned and beat-up four of these now, and the first two were from a thrift store. But my parents bought two after they saw 'em and everyone who sees them wants one. Super functional, low profile and superlative. The cadillac of camping/hotel fans. Battery, DC, A/C all work great and the USB outlet is useful to charge things also while on the road. I have two at my desk at all times.

Bought this product For Camping
We glamp camp in our LQ horse trailer often and sometimes at places where we aren't permitted to run our generator at night. I bought this fan for the occasions we need to sleep with our windows open and it fits and sits perfectly in the windows of the bedroom in our horse trailer (without the legs). It is much more powerful than I expected and even makes enough of a white noise fan sound for me to sleep with it on the low setting. My only complaint, is the fact you can't select which power method you want it to use. It automatically will be powered by the AC adapter if it's plugged in and if not, it then changes to the internal battery, if the internal battery is dead, it will then change to the 8, D alkaline batteries (which aren't included).I do feel it is overpriced for the quality, it is very difficult to get the D batteries in and out and you feel like you might break it in the process. OVERALL, I would purchase it again, simply for the fact it allows me to get sleep when I otherwise, would not.

weak air flow
The aspect of a battery operated/rechargeable fan is great but this fan in my opinion has thin blades which blows very little air! It’s not powerful. It’s equivalent to a small 6” fan even on the highest setting. Very noisy, I can’t sleep with it on. I have to be within 2ft of it to feel it! It’s not worth the price! But if you just need a small 6” battery operated fan which to me this one is equivalent to then this one is for you!

Worth the money. Convenient, lots of air.
I bought this for my car and for emergencies. I sit in my car every day for an hour waiting and didn't want to always run the ac. I love that it is battery powered by both D batteries (8 total) and rechargeable batteries. It comes with an optional stand, a car charger and a wall charger. When you have the d batteries in, it is pretty heavy to be super portable but would still be great for camping and whatnot. If plugged in it will use DC power and when not plugged in it will use the rechargeable batteries first (which last maybe 5 hours or so on low) and then the D batteries. I was surprised how much air this thing put out even on low.A few months after I bought this, the functionality of the D batteries stopped working. I contacted their customer service who was extremely helpful and got my peobl solved quickly.

Quality fan, very quiet, low power draw
Compared the Fantastic Fan "Endless Breeze" and Caframo Sirocco II and Bora 12V fans with this and decided to go with the O2Cool. From a cost/feature perspective, this was a far better investment.First - price is very good. Much less than the Endless Breeze, about par with the Caframo Bora, and less than the Sirocco. The Endless Breeze moves a TONNE more air at high settings, but also runs loud at those settings and power draw is significantly greater. At mid-range, it really doesn't move any more air than the O2Cool, and is still not as quiet, and still pulls more amps. If you want REAL quiet with good air-flow, and minimal power usage, the Caframo Sirocco is the best bet, but also pricey. The O2Cool also has more options for power - AC, DC, internal rechargeable and D-cell, so very flexible regarding how and where you can use it. I can pop up against the window and use it to blow out of the window, which will draw air in from other open windows. Provides good circulation without a fan blowing directly on you.All in all, I'm quite happy with the fan. Best balance of air-movement, power draw (important if you are dry-camping!) noise levels and price. The 4 different options for power source is also a nice feature to have.

Easy to use, long lasting battery, super handy
Bought this as a gift to use as a portable fan for in the garage and outside. Its perfect. Just the right size and doesn't need to be plugged in. The rechargeable battery lasts quite a long time. Fan is big enough to give off a nice cool breeze. Would buy again

Four Stars
Great fan and works good, just wish it was a little stronger

I really like the versatility of this fan
I really like the versatility of this fan, but prospective users should know that the power of the fan is not as high on rechargeable battery mode as it is when plugged in. Therefore you'd need to think about the size of the space where you want to move air. It'd be pretty good in most tents or truck campers. I'm using it in a window at night that doesn't have a plugin nearby.

Fan does not work
Do not purchase this fan. We bought three of them to take to a third world country for a trip on March 4th 2020. They were used for 5 days and now not one of them will charge or work while plugged in. They might have been used 4 hours in total. Not worth a penny. I will be asking for a full refund. If one didn’t work you would think differently but all three with the same problem something is very wrong.
