BDF 1SBK Window Film Static Cling Heat Rejection and Daytime Privacy Silver & Black - 35.4in X 22ft

fantastic item for the cost, love it on the windowns

I live right next to a newly opened walking trail and privacy has become an issue. I decided to install some BDF Static cling 1 way mirrored privacy film to help cut down on passers by looking into my home. The film arrived in a very long box and was fairly well protected by the additional outer Amazon box.The whole installation process is not that difficult but you need patience and an assistant would be helpful when working with larger pieces. I needed to cover 2 glass patio deck doors, so each piece of privacy film was over 6 feet long and close to 3 feet wide. Be sure to watch BDF's instructional video and use soapy water liberally on the film and the intended target glass. Because of all the soapy water applied you can work at a casual pace since the film will dry slowly (not like adhesive). It can be difficult to cut the film perfectly, but just keep as close to the edges as you can. If you take your time, squeegee out the water as instructed and follow the installation procedure you should not have too much difficulty.The mirror effect of the film seems to be most effective when it's very bright outside. When the light inside the house and outside are about the same you can partially see through the the film. Overall this product is an excellent low cost solution to use when privacy is important to you.

I have an RV that I keep near where my family lives so that I have my own place to stay when I visit. It is in the Houston area where it gets very hot. The RV is fairly new and the AC works fine, but in July and August, it is very difficult for any RC AC system to keep up. Most folks deal with the issue by placing sheets of insulation (aluminum on one side to reflect the suns rays) during these excessively hot days. But who wants to be in an RV and not be able to look outside?! I bought this to put on all my windows and it reduced the amount of heat radiating from the windows by at least 10 degrees! And I can look out my windows!

Not the easiest to install.Despite cleaning and vacuuming immediately prior, I still managed to get a dog hairs underneath the film from it's static. I was able to partially pull it back up, remove the hairs, then respray it, but got a few folds in the process which are still visible.Even using the felt side of the scraper, I managed to get some light scratching on the film.

Window film is thick. Easy to work with but read the directions. Soapy water solution should be applied heavily! Had to remove a few bubbles along edges about an hour after install. Make the room darker but keeps the sun from baking the room. The mirrored affect works well. Can stand in front of it and you can’t see in during day

Dims the blinding sunlight coming into my office. Provides quite a bit of privacy. Its very hard to see in during the day. No issues with peeling or bubbles. And installation wasn't bad. All in all I'm fairly impressed with these filters and I'll probably use them again because I hate wearing clothing.Update a month later:No peeling or bubbles. I did a pretty bad job installing them and they are still fantastic.

Even after following the directions, still did not stick to the window. Bubbles developed a week after on the part that did stay on. Go to Lowes film stays on and goes on better.

Love this stuff!!! Perfect for my residential home, always thought this stuff was for businesses until I had to put up with neighbors doing all kinds of stuff in there front yard and we had to look at them all summer, I put this stuff up hoping they could see themselves in the mirror effect and it worked!, it has a golden glow to look out at, mirror effect in the daytime and as long as there is no bright lights in your house at night you can still look out without any one on the outside seeing you although the company does say to make sure you know you can be seen when dark with the lights on in your house. I love the color, super easy to install, haven’t had one problem with it. Highly recommend it does make your home look nice as well.
