Sherpa Pet Tube Tunnel Pet Travel Kennel - Black/Gray, One Size

My rambunctious 1 year old Standard Poodle LOVES traveling in her new crate. She has plenty of space, can see out, move around freely and yet be totally contained.It’s very well constructed and easy to use. I recommend it 100%.

We've got a large Cardigan corgi who fits into the Sherpa Pet Tube quite nicely when collapsed to its smallest position. For comfort we introduced a small, round dog bed into the tube (like 17" oval -- could likely be larger). That helped our dog stay calm. Our dog rode in this on a long road trip quite pleasantly.In its longest position, it will take up the entire back seat of the car. In its shortest position, it takes up a single seat. Medium will take a passenger seat and the middle seat, too. In the other direction, it is indeed roughly two feet in diameter. If you are planning to keep the tube in a smaller size, you have to collapse it and connect the sides together using Velcro tabs. We had problems with the tabs not being strong enough -- Our corgi could bust the Velcro tabs apart and expand the tube when he got agitated. Re-setting the Velcro takes a little time and having to reset it often is irritating. Instead we found that wedging it between the door and the middle arm rest helps prevent the tube from being expanded.This won't work, however, if you have a larger dog or want to keep the tube bigger. I cannot imaging a very large dog in one of these. In my opinion it would only be great for medium-large dogs over short trips or if the dog is no larger than a slight German Shepherd.The quality is pretty good. It is made of a super long coiled wire spring. We did find that a spring end on one side popped out of its nylon guide through a tiny hole, but we were able to re-insert it and shift the spring so it didn't happen again. Zippers can bind after some use, so I have waxed them. I suspect one side will break first but then you can flip it around and use the other side's zipper. Because of the above Velcro issues, I am thinking about adding Velcro ties and/or wire ties to prevent the tube from expanding unexpectedly.It's good enough where I will buy another. I expect it to last probably a couple years with everyday use.

Use this for 2 cats in car for longer trips and they are much more comfortable than a small cat carrier. Easy to fold up. Good value for money. I would recommend.

Sherpa uses good quality materials used to make this product. Not for dogs that aren't trained to it as it doesn't stand a chance with a dog determined to get through it or move it around. I only wish they made a larger version in the 36" to 40" size as this is to small for our Border Collies.

The item is very nice and quite spacious. I like the fact that the tube can expand fully to take up the entire back seat, or it can be condensed into two smaller sizes in case you want to have passengers in the seat next to it.The tube was easy to open and it was well made, and I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to pack it up to store. It zips up for convenience, and there was no struggle involved.The tube provides plenty of room for your furry friend, and it can easily hold a few smaller pets. It's well ventilated and the material makes it easy to clean up any messes. Very nice product!

This fits perfectly in my backseat. Still trying to get my cat used to it, but I love that he has space to move about during car rides, instead of being crammed into a small carrier.

Good but to pricey

Works great for driving with our puppy and our other dogs (labs).

We have 3 large cats (1-16lbs, 1-14lbs and 1-12lbs. It is normally a nightmare taking them in the truck in 3 kennels. They cry, scream, sing the songs of their people and try to eat their way out. We have been searching for a way to travel with our boys that won’t be upsetting to them. We purchased this the other day, we left it out for a day for them to explore it and then put it in the truck and tried it out.I am delighted to say we have been in the truck for an hour and they have not made a sound. They are all happy and have plenty of room to lay down and get comfy.Such an amazing find for your pets. It’s easy to secure and it is super easy to store.So happy we found away to travel with our boys where they can be together, comfortable, happy and not causing us to have headaches from them screaming!Highly recommend this product! Would be suitable for dogs as well. It does take up most of the backseat in my full size pick up. But so worth knowing my kitties are safe and happy.

Was initially very impressed with this, puppy settled in it a felt safe transporting him in it. However, a week or so later, he found the small gap between the zips at the bottom and was soon able to open the gap and break the zip. We are now left with a virtually useless pet tube after only a few weeks use and over £100 out of pocket. Disappointing it is not up to the rigours of a 13 week old pup. May be suitable for older more settled dogs but a huge waste of money for usUpdate Jan 24. The zip at the other end has now also failed. They are clearly not up to the job and will only keep a dog secure if it has no inkling to get out. Huge waste of money.
