Fantastic (low priced) headset
I would say from personal experience in owning more expensive headsets, these are only a slight step down. Which is fantastic for a $40 headset. With only a few things weighing down the headsets (pun) review in my eyes, I recommend this to anyone looking for a cheap replacement for their recently broken headset.Comfortably: 3/5- weighed down way too much by the chord. The chord is my only real complaint with this headset given its sheer unnecessary length. I'm not sure turtle beach...but I haven't met someone who plays video games form a mile and a half away, so why not sell the headset short, and an aftermarket extender...?Ease of Use: 3/5-By ease of use, I refer to the simplicity of turning the headset on, muting it, volume control, etc. Hooking it up to the console (in my case, PS3) was extremely simple, especially given the clear directions available in the headset's box. Volume control for both games and other people's mics is just as simple with the two dials on the side of the headset. The muting slide is just below them and although it is a tad difficult to access with the headset on for the first few times you use the headset, but eventually you will know by heart where it is, almost like the back of your head...err side.Quality: The quality of this headset is fantastic given its bass boost and clear as day sound. There were sounds in Call of Duty I had never heard before until getting this headset. To summarize, from a cheaper headset standpoint, this headset get's a 10/5, yes I know...from a general headset standpoint, perhaps a 3/5 is fit, just mind you that there would be no reason to expect this headset to be better in any real way than a $200 headset of any kind. Regardless, this headset gives you the advantage of not breaking the bank whilst still having a fantastic headset. The chord was my only real complaint as it's a mile and a half long (figurative).

Moving on...
I have been on a multi-year quest in search of a suitable headset for my PS3, and unfortunately, I'm still on that quest. I've tried expensive headsets in the past, and there's always at least one thing wrong with them. This time, I figured I'd try a basic set, in hopes that maybe simpler was better for me. I was wrong.Am I too picky? I don't know...is it too much to ask for a pair of headphones that:- is comfortable- is durable- has decent audio quality- I can hear my voice in?So how does this set hold up in these areas?Comfort: I have a normal size head but I wear eyeglasses, so I've come to expect a little discomfort on the sides of my head. But these were just a little too tight. They'd probably feel better if I didn't wear glasses. But it turns out that after a few hours of gaming, the most painful point on the headphones came from the top pad. It was as if someone was constantly pressing their thumb against my scalp (thumbs down on this!).Durability: Since I returned the headphones after two weeks, I can't speak to how they would hold up long term. But I can tell you that they are made mostly of plastic with open foam pads. They were somewhat creaky when I was trying to adjust them as well. However, the boom microphone is a quality component. It's made of metal and can be moved into almost any position.Audio quality: Out of the box, not so good. I could hear a subtle but constant stuttering sound, and a slight hiss. It cleared up after I installed an inline RCA noise filter, but I shouldn't have to do that.Voice chat: I could hear other people just fine and they could hear me just fine. But like all the other over-the-ear headphones I've tested, I could not hear my own voice (even with the boom mic 1/4" from my mouth, and chat volume all the way up), so I had a tendency to speak louder. This, despite the fact that the headphones are advertised as having a Voice Level Recognition feature. If it does, it sure isn't effective. Also, unlike the mic mute and game audio volume, I never quite got used to adjusting the chat volume since the dial was located in an awkward place on the ear cup, right near the boom. Many of you may be asking, "What do you expect from a gaming headset for under $40?" My answer: not much. Just the basics (see above). And, despite the basics being noticeably absent in this headset, I've thrown in an extra star to satisfy anyone who might argue with me on value for price.

Solid Headset for Good Price
This headset was perfect for my budget which was under $50. Mic and speaker quality are top notch without a doubt. I've tried the PX21 but other than build quality, I couldn't find any difference. The build quality is really good but you can tell its not a high end one by holding it. The separate game and sound volume switches are so much more useful than one would think. The reason I put 4 stars instead of 5 is because the sound leaks. Sound is great but someone standing near you can clearly hear everything you are hearing. Not really a big deal so I still love these.

Best for the money
I was looking for a headset for playing call of duty on a monitor and this one works great. I only wish the mute button and the volume controls were not on the headset because it is hard to get used to moving them without looking.

Great for the price!
This headset is great for the price. I didn't want to spend a bunch of money on headsets, so after talking to my gaming friends, they suggested this. I works very well, the quality of the mic is clear and loud. The headset is a comfortable (and adjustable) fit. I highly recommend it!
