Wish There Was More Tension and Drama, But Worth A Watch Anyway.
The ending is somewhat predictable, but it is an interesting enough journey getting there to hold the attention.I could imagine this being an adaptation from a novel, because the motivation for the interactions between the two characters, and what they actually get out of it, remains largely hidden. This is especially so in the sexual scenes, in particular when the dynamic between them changes.If you are drawn to the film because of the blatantly sexual keywords used on another movie site, then you may be disappointed as scenes of actual intercourse re milder than suggested. If the sexual content was unsimulated then i don't know why, because nothing is seen that would require that to be necessary, other than nudity. Most of the sexuality is festish based violence.The motivation of The Acrobat's external activities are clearer. The phrase that would sum up the other protagonists current situation in life would be "If it's not one thing, it's your Mother". These external events bring them together in a poignant, sexual but anonymous companionship.

I loved the animalistic real sex in this film Hollywood would never show the sexual world like this.The story is interesting the other people who have commented negatively obviously don't know a good film when they see one

The version of 'The Acrobat' on Amazon Prime has been cut to remove the very most explicit material. Whether this was Amazon's own decision or some legal requirement of streaming I do not know, but it should be made clear for potential paying customers.

Well Made And Well Acted
There have been a number of attempts to combine pornography with mainstream drama, but this has to be the most successful yet. The unsimulated acts here are homosexual, which do not excite me personally, however the film is extremely well made and well acted and kept my interest to the end. The run time given on the DVD sleeve is 134 minutes but the film lasts 128 minutes. If six minutes have in fact been cut, considering the content I can't think what possible reason there could be.
