I got size 12 months for my 18lb, 5 month old. It fit perfect. The quality of the material is amazing. A thiner costume, size up and you can still put layers under it

This is adorable and sadly it is not a warm costume, but most costumes are not meant for warmth. Ordered the 24months and fits snugly on my 2 year old.
