Easy Peazy
The Danco FLT231T Alternative Toilet Tank Flapper Replacement is a terrific innovatiive replacement for the traditional rubber/silicone toilet tank flapper. I don't really understand the mechanics behind how it works, but it works superbly everytime, all the time!! The Danco FLT231T Flapper Replacement is indeed EASY2INSTALL if you have traditional tank components, mine are not - some years ago I replaced the tank parts with Korky replacement parts & the water fill tube barely allowed fitting this unit within the toilet tank; however, it did fit & it works flawlessly. Only time will tell how long-lasting/durable the unit is, but thus far I'm really impressed with the results - based on my experience, I highly recommend this unit for peace of mind to keep the toilet from continuously running and/or over-flowing.

Easy Installation, Handle A Little Tricky, Water Level Adjust Great, Works Great
I really like the Danco toilet flapper replacement! It replaced a 10+ year old Danco push-button model that began to habitually leak. The new one was easy to install in just a few minutes, has a very useful and easy to use water level adjustment, and most importantly worked perfectly from the first flush. Here is what I like:+ Everything I needed came in the package+ The instructions were clear and sufficient+ Installation of the flapper replacement is very easy+ The handle is much nicer than the push-button it replaced+ The water level adjustment is easy to set and precise+ No more leakingHere is what I don't as much (pretty minor):- The handle pulled out after installation (just had to push it back in till it "clicked")The handle pulling out appears to be a clip that didn't click in. My toilet has a rectangular opening for the handle and the Danco handle was a tight fit but it did fit. Of all parts of the easy install the handle was surprisingly the most touchy for me.Down sides are very minor and it solved my leaky toilet problem handily in about 10 minutes. At its low price I think this Danco flapper replacement offers excellent value and that gets 5 stars from me. I'm very pleased.

Great replacing for old flapper drains but…
Install was easy. The shim helped line everything up and works perfectly. I don’t think I trust the zip tie that holds it in place though. I broke both ties provided in the kit and used a larger one I had on hand. It would definitely be better if it used a stainless hose clamp to install it to the existing flush valve or at least used a nylon nut & bolt instead. But otherwise super product!

Not worth the higher price than flappers
I bought this because the chain on flappers would always get caught and cause the toilet to run. However, after only 3 years this has also started to cause the toilet to run all the time. The part in the middle (that goes up and down to release water) no longer makes a good seal due to a bubble that formed in the gasket. There is no way to fix this as far as I can tell, so I have to replace the entire unit.I wish I could say it at least prevented the toilet from running during those 3 years, but the handle would sometimes loosen so that it would push all the way down causing it to run until I took off the lid and retightened the nut.

I'm no handyman and this was easy.
Replaced previous trigger which toddler tugged on and sheared it right off. Easy there, He-man! The rubber flapper-dapper thing was on its last leg anyway, so decided to take the jump and buy this kit from a local big box home improvement store (sorry Prime, your price was better but the wife needed it fixed pronto, as in right this minute!) and it took max 15 min to install and that was with juggling two curious kiddos in my arms. Instructions clear but succinct. DON'T CUT THE ZIP TIES!!!! Those are important. Anyway, couldn't be more pleased. Trigger blends in well with the rest of the bathroom fixtures. Not too shiny, no too bland.Install was super easy and didn't require tank removal. Switched out the triggers, swapped the rubber flapper-dapper with the unit, shimmed it up in the back with the shim provided, placed the rubber ring on top of the drain spout, and then attached the trigger to the unit with a simple, push-button feature. No wrench or bending-of-metal required. And... you're done. Cool!!Best part is that if one of my family members tries to flush some disaster and it clogs, all you have to do is pull the trigger up past resting position and the tank IMMEDIATELY stops filling the bowl. The tank will still fill back up but the bowl will remain as-is. Can you say, "Life-saver"?I'm no handyman and this was easy. As opposed to the last trigger mechanism I replaced in the other toilet which took an hour of wrangling, tightening, and then bending of the soft-metal hand to ensure that it would operate in my old, uniquely shaped toilet tank. And it still "clinks" on the inside of the lid every now and then. Now I've read some reviews that say it doesn't last long. We'll see, I'll update if/when it finally gives up the ghost. Honestly, a cheap-o trigger at the store costs <$5 and from what I've heard those rubber flappers have a short year or two lifespan. So for 10 bucks you've got a decent trigger, a flapperlesss system, and the added bonus of avoiding that "oh-no-the-toilet-clogged-quick-remove-the-tank-lid-and-try-to-stop-this-disaster" event that the fates like to throw our way. That's gold right there.***Update 04/2017***Still running strong, even survived a visiting kiddo's "this trigger looks like it is for morse code!" activities. Oh, and lil' Johnny finally did the inevitable and flushed a duplo block down the "abyss-of-no-return" and his quick flip-the-trigger-back-up motion saved me from having to get out the haz-mat gear and a mop. Seriously, I might just write down the day that I bought this and make it my own personal holiday.
