Light works just like a bookmark, it can be either inserted between the the Kindle and the case, or wrapped around the case cover.

Heavier than I thought it would be, awkward and not very flexible, light bulb is too close to the reading surface and tends to reflect, blinding rather than illuminating. I would tend to consider this a piece of junk and would certainly not buy it again nor recommend it to a friend.
