I took a chance and thought these would be shattered but I was happily surprised they were all in one piece. Not a single one was broken in pieces. HOWEVER, I did notice two tips were chipped and there were no pieces inside the container, so they were chipped prior to shipping. There was also one that was 1/4 inch shorter than any of the others. They are still usable though.They were very well wrapped, in a box, in bubblewrap, rubber banded the container.The chalk is a lot thinner and smaller than I expected, my first time getting tailors chalk. The picture makes it look bigger. Be sure you read the dimensions.The chalk draws lines nicely and smoothly on fabric without cracking. It does not brush away with a hand. My fingers got slight dust on them from use but that brushed off fine. I have not washed the fabric to see how it comes out. The color isn’t super vibrant but it is there and pretty. A very muted pastel-kind of color vs like crayola crayon colors.Altogether I would recommend these as it was the best price you get for the size and variety and they had pretty good quality compared to other chalk reviews!

If you hold them with little pressure they'll break, none of them came broken but their edges. Easy to draw on fabric.

I liked that it came in a protective case. None came broken. It’s just as pictured!Only con I have is that it marks pretty light, but it did get the job done.I did test them first. I tried different colors for different fabrics. Some work better than others. Some barely showed. I had to switch to different sides and corners every now and then because it would stop marking after a little while if using same side for a bit. But it still worked for what I needed it for.Regardless, I have no regrets with this purchase. It’s great for the price!

These will break. Store in cases and press softly when using. To remove make will need water and a rag. If you press hard not sure it would be easy to remove.

One thong about tailor's chalk is that if you drop it it breaks into pieces. I love that this set has a carrying case or call it a storage case. Much easier to keep.them whole. Of course you can use it when they break but I like having the whole piece.

I loved that the taylor's chalk came in a tidy plastic container that is easy to store, and protects the chalk from being broken. I recommended it to one of my quilting friends. I've ordered other chalks and somehave arrived broken. All of these were intact.

While they may look awkward these are wonderful to mark fabric. Much more reliable than all the pens and you can get sharp Mark's of you do it right. I love these and highly recommend them.
