Know Your Ministry: Spiritual Gifts for Every Believer

It's helpful to understand the gifts you receive when you are filled with the Holy Spirit. Many think you have to speak in tongues when you are filled with the Holy Spirit, but there are other gifts that are received. You are still filled with the Holy Spirit, but don't speak in tongues. Don't feel badly, wait to understand the gifts you have received.

This is a well thought out focus on the gifting given to individual believers as shown in the book of Romans, chapter 12. Knowing your “inclination”, you can more readily walk by the spirit with what God has placed in your life for the church. Marilyn simply does an excellent job of showing this in the word, using illustrations throughout scripture, and encouraging us to appreciate the differences in each other. They are giftings from God for His church, the body of Christ. Would strongly recommend this book to understand not only what abilities you’ve been given but to understand the abilities of those around you and those whom you love and to appreciate these abilities and differences.

It didn’t meet my expectations. She did not really explain what “functional gifts” are for me. It’s good but not what I was looking for.

This book was an easy read. The examples provided made it relateable and practical. I really appreciate the fact that is all based on scriptures.

Very helpful in helping you recognize and operate in your spiritual gifts. A must read!

Excellent book which takes you into the ministries of the word of God and what they stand for. Great reading and explanation of each of the ministries. Take the exam at the end of the book to check out if you are walking in the ministry that God has placed inside of you.

I made my friend take the test but she wasn't too impressed with it. But I liked the test, though the results didn't quite match what I thought.
