This was just perfect for the Brother Label Printer I needed it for....excellent!

When buying the generic brand labels for the Brother label printers, the labels don't come with the cartridge. You'll need one of these if you're using the DK-1202 labels that don't come with the cartridge. The printer identifies the width (narrow or wide) and label type (continuous or separated) by the little holes on the bottom foot of the cartridge, so it's really important that you get the right cartridge for the right labels. The foot on this is for wide, separated labels. If you put the wrong cartridge in, the printer will get really confused.As for the cartridge itself, so far it's working fine. It comes with a little plastic screw to hold parts of it together, but if the printer is used enough that the labels have to be changed often, it's just not practical to include. All the parts are sturdy, but it's a little difficult holding all the parts together in the right configuration to get it installed into the printer.
