Double Parachute Camping Hammock by Arkadia | Lightweight Nylon, Packable, Great for Travel with free Carabiners and Starter Straps Charcoal/Grey

Arrived today and I just got done hanging in my back yard for a bit. Love it! I got the grey, the color is just as pictured, my two ropes were rubberbanded as one unlike the picture that shows them seperate, they were both still there just slightly different than pictured so don't worry when you get yours. I was debating between a double and single hammock, so happy I got double: for those times when your back doesn't want to curve it was perfect for laying in sideways to have a flat surface. I'm 5' 5"Pros:Simple and Straightforward: I took the ropes and tied them around two trees (I used a fisherman's knot, but you can do whatever you want) and clipped the carabiners on, done, it's ready!Carabiners: They are on the heavier side so they feel more sturdy and durable, the latches close great.Carrying pouch/pocket: The carrying pouch stays attached to the hammock so 1) you don't loose it and 2) it doubles as a pocket while you're in the hammock.Ropes: what can I say, thick, but easy to work with, the perfect size for small to medium trees (or branches)Material: Light weight but felt sturdy (I've also laid in a hennessy hammock where the fabric felt a bit thicker, but that's a $300 hammock I will never be able to afford and took much longer to rig up with all the extra pieces, I've also used the mesh boyscout hammocks that are not comfortable at all.)Weight: total weight with everything in the pouch is 22.9 oz.Cons:The winter season is approaching so I won't be doing much backpacking for a few months so I will probably have to wait to use other than in my backyard. I'll update once I've had more experience with it:)

I am very pleased with this hammock. The seller provided excellent instructions for setting up the product which I, as a newbie to the hammocking world, really appreciated. I selected the blue hammock and the color looks great in person. It's quite durable. Any dirt I've gotten on it has wiped right off. It's perfect for studying, and I can just toss it in my backpack without feeling like I am carrying bricks around all day. The bag attached to the side is perfect for holding notes and pens and such while you study.

I am super stoked about this hammock! It's exactly what I was looking for. I have a Hennessy Expedition Asym hammock as well, but for 95% of my applications I just want something small that I can throw in my day pack, light enough that I can justify bringing on weekend backpacking trips, and roomy enough to snuggle with someone special and take a nap or read a book...and this fits the bill for all of those perfectly. It's also plenty sturdy enough that I'd have no problem trusting it (I weigh 250lbs), and for me at 5'11 it's got a good bit of extra headroom to spare. It came with an attached stuff sack (which is nice otherwise I'd be sure to lose it), and quality carabiners / strong cordage so you can set it up right out of the box if you don't have your own hardware and hammock straps. I was very excited to receive my new hammock. I have never owned one before, but having been on many camping trips with friends who own them I knew it was time to get one. I found this hammock and with price was very excited, I was a little apprehensive, because I way a little more than 250 lbs. But after setting it up(appreciated the instructions) feeling the material it was made of and laying in it, I could not have been happier with the support. It feels great to sit/lay in and cannot wait for when I have my next opportunity to use when out with friends.

This thing is awesome for sure! Have been used it constantly and it works well and holds up two 160 lbs ppl no problem

I was very impressed with this hammock. The sheer size and weight of the thing made me think I had received something else in the mail until I opened it up and saw the packaging! When packed away in the integrated sleeve this thing is tiny, just a little bit bigger than both your fists balled up. It only weighs about a pound and a half as well which makes it excellent for backpacking or just bringing it along anywhere.The material is very thin and cool to the touch, but obviously insanely strong give its weight limit. It's also really awesome that it comes with the carabiners integrated into the mounting system. The seller also sent some great instructions on how to set up and tie off the hammock.Overall, I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants a hammock for pretty much any purpose.I received this item at a discount in return for my honest and unbiased review.

Good quality hammock for the price that is holding up well to frequent travel and weekend lounging. We paired this hammock with the ENO straps and have been very pleased! I like that the charcoal color hides dirt since we let our 8 year-old claim this as his and he tends to trample it a bit as he helps hang it up. So far no rips or tears at all, even with the neighborhood boys piling in and using it as a huge swing between our two front yard trees. I was fortunate to receive this product at a slight discount and am writing this review after 4 months of use (about 12 to 15 sets ups in the yard, at family land and on camp outs). This has been a good quality, mid-range hammock.
