Before The Amplifiers...Live Acoustic

This live album was phenomenal. The unplugged renditions capture musicians that sound as great as they do on studio albums. Many musical acts use studio magic to enhance how they truly sound. The mix was very well done as well. Full rich sounds with great vocals.

Well recorded and must have for Hazel fans. I listen to it over and over.

If you like acoustic music that centers around the acoustic guitar, you will really like this album. If you like Sister Hazel's music, you will really like this album. If you like Sister Hazel AND you like acoustic music, you will really LOVE this album. I have some of their other albums which I like, and I also play acoustic guitar. I got this album a month or so ago, and it has lived in my car stereo - I drive about 35 minutes each way to work and back, so this gets listened to a lot, and I am not sick of it yet! I like the way they varied the vocal performance and arrangement of these songs to make them sound "fresh" from their other albums, rather than being acoustical versions that are sung and performed in almost the same way. Highly recommended, music that lifts the soul!

I bought this CD because I had heard a few good songs from Spotify on the album, and then I listened to the entire album... I loved it!!! I was a Sister Hazel fan just from growing up in the 90's, but this CD is one of the best ever. It's an acoustic live concert that they must have done at a small venue with no more than 50 people. It makes you feel like you're actually there in the room listening to them. If you're on the fence about getting this CD or not, this CD provides me with more entertainment for $13 than a lot of things for triple that amount, buy it and you'll never regret it.

Bought this as a Bday gift for my brother, who is a Hazelnut. Naturaly I listen as well. This is a collection of tunes from other albums, but all stripped down and given an acoustic treatment. While not exactly pure acoustic the effect is wonderful. I love alternate interpretations of songs I'm familiar with.The harmonies are wonderful, as you might expect from Sister Hazel. No big surprises here, solid songs with deep lyrics sung well. Its fun to sing along to the slower versions, and easier to hear the the harmony parts. This would be a great addition to anyone who enjoys mellow rock, and its not just for old Hazel fans. Hope this helps. Enjoy.

This album is fantastic, and easily could be enjoyed by those who aren't "Hazelnuts". The minor change-ups to many of the songs keeps it fresh. Hearing these songs without the roar of amplifiers is refreshing. Probably the most surprising song is "Starfish", which is arranged with a full bluegrass hoedown sound.

Before The AmplifiersSister Hazel Absolutely my favorite album. The bad and instrumentals blow you away. The only thing you dislike about the album is it ends. Again I was so impressed with this group because of this album I flew to Gainesville Florida to catch their act. If you like acoustical guitar this is the one MUST HAVE album.

Ein "Muß" für jeden Sister Hazel - Fan, und ein "Muß" für jeden "unplugged" - Fan und eine CD, die immer und immer wieder läuft.Sister Hazel zeigt mal wieder und ganz neu, was sie drauf haben. Songs mit Herz und Verstand, Harmonien die nicht weh tun und Melodien, die man am Morgen unter der Dusche pfeift. Und immer irgendwie das Gefühl im Wagen auf einer amerikanischen Landstrasse unterwegs zu sein.Ich liebe die Jungs und ich liebe diese CD mit all ihren Hits und all denen, die es sein könnten. Und das alles perfekt in "unplugged"-manier. Danke für diese CD.

Die CD ist vom ersten bis zum letzten Song gelungen! Von Ballade bis schnellere Songs ist alles dabei und die Live-Aufnahmen sind von feinster Qualität, so dass man wirklich das Gefühl hat in der ersten Reihe mit dabei zu sein. Für Fans ein Muss und für Musikliebhaber vielleicht die Möglichkeit die eigene Sammlung zu erweitern.

Sister Hazel muss man mögen. Ein Album besser als das andere. Wenn jemand guten Gitarren-Pop mag, fast ein Muss.Einfach super.
