Healthy Ponds Dry Blue Pond Water Dye, Water Soluble Packets, Treats up to 1/4 Acre

I have a million gallon pond (1 acre). It takes on average one of these packs every two weeks to control algae, clear the water, and make color more attractive. Caution: This stuff is extremely fine powder and the dye will turn you blue unless you toss the dye pack into the pond from an upwind direction, wear long sleeves and rubber gloves. If some gets on you, scrub with Dawn detergent then gallons of water to minimize how many days you are qualified as a member of blue man group. This is easier to apply than the liquid dyes. Make sure your retriever dog is locked up when you toss the dye pack!

…but not quite enough for a half acre pond at 22 feet in the deepest spot.

The dark die does a great job on weed control.

Just open packet throw in pouch. In just minutes it begins to melt and turn the water to a turquoise color. It shades the glare of the sun and keeps algae from growing. Safe for animals and fish.

I used two packs of this in my pond instead of one bottle of the Black Dyemond 4X dye---the two packsdidn't do as good as the 4X dye and the darkness only lasted a few days.
