Suction Helmet Mount for Gopro S-Bolt+ Blackbolt with Universal 3/4" Gender

If you want to mount a camera on a motorcycle helmet, this is the only one to buy. The BlackBolt S-Bolt+ Mini Suction Cup is made to hold on to the helmet's curved surfaces. I have 4 other suction cups (all well known) and none of them will hold to my helmet's curved surfaces.The BlackBolt is small (2.5" diameter suction cup - any suction cup larger than 2.5" has too much helmet curved surface to attach to and thus will not hold), light (about 2 oz. - need to keep weight on top of your helmet to a minimum), has a standard 1/4" camera screw with alignment pin, and has a low profile (2 1/8" from helmet surface to top of 1/4" screw camera mounting plate (rubberized).I use the BlackBolt suction cup to mount my Cannon video camera (about 10 oz.) on my Shoei RF-1100 full face helmet. Total weight with suction cup mount is about 13 oz.Note: Always have 2 safety lines (I use 35 lb. test braided string I get at a mountain climbing store): 1) Helmet to camera, and 2) Helmet to suction cup mount in case the suction cup releases or the camera detaches from the suction cup mount. On my Shoei helmet, I run the safety line in one of the back vent holes and out another. I then attach one end of the safety line to the camera's metal carrying strap holder and the other end of the safety line to the suction cup mount. Keep the safety lines short so if the mount or camera detach, they only fall down as far as your shoulders.I find a small full function video camera more functional/usable then a sport video camera (for example the Go Pro 4 - though I feel Go Pro 4 is a great camera) since I can take it off the helmet and use it as a full function handheld video camera. I just can't use the Cannon underwater or in the rain.I have learned to keep my eyes on the road while moving my head to the side (25 degrees) to get video of objects on the side of the road and up to get video of canyon walls and mountain tops.

It hangs on to my helmet great! Picks up a lot of dust and debris though when not on the helmet, but is easily washed off. Also when washed in water it restores the stickiness when it dries! So that's a plus. Definitely worth the buy. I might really stick with this mount for a while (pun intended)

I have mounted it a couple of times but I get freaked out and dont really go that fast. I like it but it just seems like it will detach and fall off. If that happens kiss that gopro good-bye. Not sure i want that just yet. Thinking of way to minimize that from happening. :(

Awesome helmet mount! It stuck so well I didn't really need the suction cup part, I could hardly get it off! Perfect for Auto cross, not a single problem and never came off!

Used it at the 24 hours of LeMons works awesome
