Millie Marotta's Animal Kingdom: Deluxe Edition: Color Me, Draw Me (A Millie Marotta Adult Coloring Book) Hardcover – November 10, 2015

I have yet to actually color in my book but it is everything I wanted it to be. This is definitely what a deluxe coloring book should look like and I hope other illustrators take notes from it. I feel as if it was a love note from the artist to her fans :)Update Nov. 1 2016: I have been working on a page in the book and used acrylic paint for the background. Because all the images are single sided on very good paper I have not had any issues at all. The paper stood up to the paint beautifully and the blending I was able to get with my pencils (I used Polychromos, Luminance, and Prismacolor Premier pencils) was great. I will be able to frame the picture if I want or even give it away to a friend or leave it in the book. I love the thickness of the paper and the beautiful illustrations to color. My only complaint is that since it is bound in book form when the picture goes close to the edge it can be difficult to color fully in the crack. Highly recommend, I'm obsessed 😍

This is my first, but not last, Millie Marotta coloring book. Though I liked her books, I never bought them because they were printed on both sides of the page. I decided when I first started collecting adult coloring books that I would not waste my money on books that were not one-sided. It was well worth the wait for this Deluxe Edition to be released.Not only are they one-sided, they are printed a good quality paper, well above the norm for the majority of adult coloring books. The quality of Millie Marotta's design was never the problem, just the cheapness of the printing of the book. Spend a little extra and get the Deluxe Edition, you will not be disappointed.

Great book, allows for a lot of fun, relaxing artistic coloring! Almost all of the designs I find very appealing and the hardcover portfolio like deluxe edition is beautiful. However, this is what i wrote in the packaging feedback: "This book should NOT be pressed as hard as it was in the packaging. Since the fold out, double spread pages are shorter than the single sided pages, there is a dented line on a lot of the single page designs that looks kind of ugly because of this. If someone wants to see these colored pages as finished artwork pieces, it might detract from it. "

I love, love, love that she came out with a single-sided paged book, with thick, smooth paper. All of the continuous pages that normally had a big crease in the center in the original book are now one long page. My only complaint is that I like to tear out pages to color flat, and this book isn't perforated. It's fine for the single-paged designs, with the hard cover, but there's no good way to color the double-page designs bound in the book like that. I ended up finding the binding strings and slowly unbinding the entire book one packet of pages at a time.

I've been in love with Millie Marotta's books from day one. The new hard cover of animal kingdom is by far the greatest book in my collection of books. (Over 50 books in my collection ) I was kinda concerned about the way the hard cover would work? Not a problem this is so easy to use.... And what can I say about the dozen full layout pages..... THANK YOU!!!! Oh the one thing I thought might be nice would be tear out pages but that would ruin this whole concept . If you want tear out pages go to her first book. This book is a great way to display your art. Love it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love this book! I have been on a coloring book craze and saw a Youtube video on this bookand had to have it. I love that the pictures are on one side and the hard back cover really makes the book feel fancy. The paper weight is a little lighter than I would have expected but its still good quality paper. I use color pencil so it won't be an issue.This is my first Millie Marotta book and I could not be happier with my purchase.Thank you!!!

Amazing beautiful colouring book in amazing condition

Dieses Buch ist wirklich sehr schön. Das Papier ist dick und auch wenn es mir ein bisschen "durstig" erschien, drückt nichts auf der nächsten Seite durch. Es wäre kein Beinbruch, da die Motive nur auf einer Seite aufgedruckt sind. Getestet habe ich mit Stabilo Finelinern und 0815 Filzstiften. Bei manchen Stiften muss man mehrmals auftragen und dennoch drückte nichts auf der Rückseite durch - nicht mal eine Andeutung war zu sehen. Grossartig!Das einzige, was mir an der Buchbindung rätselhaft vorkommt, ist dass der Buchrücken beim geschlossenen Buch so stark beweglich ist. Das muss vielleicht so sein, weil man es komplett aufschlagen kann und es auch so liegenbleibt. Absolute Kaufempfehlung für jeden, der auch gern mit Filzstiften malt.

I was happy to receive Millie Marotta's Animal Kingdom: Deluxe edition. So Beautifully created. I will enjoy painting in it for years to come and it also gives me a break in between my own paintings. If you have a hard time painting Millie's intricate creations try using a standing magnifying glass. Thank-you so much. Happy painting and colouring.

Es un libro precioso, compre el de tapa dura y es increíble lo bonito que es, aún no he empezado a darle color pero el papel se ve de calidad y los dibujos están en una cara, así que no creo que tenga problemas al utilizar rotuladores o en mi caso me gusta usar lapices acuarelables. Buena compra.

The Deluxe edition of Animal Kingdom is a beautifully bound, ribbon-tied version filled with Marotta's beautiful artwork, sure to engage artists for hours and hours of creative fun. The book lies flat for ease of coloring and the special feature makes it worthwhile. I would definitely recommend this Deluxe Edition to Millie Marotta fans both old and new, a special keepsake.
